UFORCOP Activities and Investigations

The newsletter welcomes readers to UFORCOP's monthly update on Ufology, Paranormal, Cryptozoology, and Abduction news within Pennsylvania. It outlines how individuals can file reports or obtain information through the organization's website contact form or Facebook page. UFORCOP is also available to give presentations to groups.

As of the end of August, UFORCOP is actively working on 19 cases, categorized as 12 UFO cases, 5 Cryptozoology cases, and 2 Paranormal cases. These cases, along with reports from NUFORC and MUFON, will be mapped on the website, showing sightings by quarters within the state.

UFORCOP currently comprises 16 Researchers and 3 Consultants, with plans to expand its research team. The organization operates as a non-profit and has partnered with UFO Research of North America and UFO Clearinghouse.

Specific investigations mentioned include a UFO sighting over a Nuclear Plant in Pennsylvania. An initial photograph of three objects was deemed not to be atmospheric anomalies and was sent to a photo expert in Great Britain for further analysis. The organization is also actively seeking information on the Presque Isle Landing Incident and the Carbondale UFO/Lantern Incident.

Upcoming Events and Initiatives

The 'Close Encounters Conference' is in the planning stages for Spring 2011, with a location being scouted and a speaker list being formulated. Updates will be available on the conference website.

A 'Round Table Conference' is also in development, offering attendees a chance for one-on-one interaction with experts in Ufology, Paranormal, Abduction, and Cryptozoology.

Butch Witkowski, Director of UFORCOP, is scheduled to appear on Coast to Coast AM Radio with Art Bell on August 27, 2010.

UFORCOP plans paranormal investigations at Bushy Run Battle Field and The Gettysburg Battlefield in the autumn.

The newsletter notes the passing of UFO Researcher Lt. Col. Wendelle C. Stevens (Ret) on September 7, 2010.

UFORCOP researchers are working on papers about various cases and case studies from Pennsylvania, which will be available at the Spring Conference in 2011.

There are no open abduction cases at this time.
