Similar objects were reportedly seen over Tibet and San Diego, California, on the same night.

• USA: 1981 was a relatively quiet year for UFO reports. A significant case occurred on December 29, 1980, when Vickie and Colby Landrum, along with Betty Cash, reported seeing a diamond-shaped UFO accompanied by over 20 helicopters in Texas. Vickie and Betty Cash suffered radiation burns. The issue also mentions photos of a purported alien corpse associated with a crashed spacecraft, which GSW (Ground Saucer Watch) analyzed and concluded were not forged, suggesting a possible explanation involving government testing of rockets with apes in 1948.

• Uruguay: An 18-minute power outage occurred in Florida, Uruguay, while hundreds of people observed a spherical object with red, white, and green lights maneuvering over the city. • Sovjet (Soviet Union): A peculiar hole in the ground, described as a spherical room forming a perfect 'bottle' shape, has convinced Soviet scientists that extraterrestrial beings conducted scientific work at the site. Geologist Dr. Aleksei Zolotov suggested that a spacecraft might have used a technology unknown to humans to extract soil. Oil workers reported seeing an object land nearby, causing them to hide in fear. Investigations revealed the hole was about 30 cm in diameter, with warm sides, and led to a 15-meter high ceramic flask-like chamber. Three oval depressions, forming a triangle, were also found nearby.
