Documentary Film "Ghost Rockets"

The cover story highlights the documentary film "Ghost Rockets" by filmmakers Kerstin Übelacker and Michael Cavanagh. The film, which has been in production for over four and a half years, documents the work of UFO-Sverige in investigating UFO phenomena. It premiered at the Göteborg Film Festival on January 25th. Clas Svahn reported on the premiere on his blog. Upcoming screenings are scheduled for March 6th at 5:00 PM at Biografen Victoria in Stockholm, as part of the Tempo documentary film festival. Tickets can be booked through the Tempo festival website. The film is also slated for screenings in Norrköping and will be broadcast on SVT later in the year. More information on broadcast times will be provided in future newsletters.

Publications: UFO-Aktuellt and Rapport-Nytt

Information is provided regarding UFO-Sverige's publications. The next issue of UFO-Aktuellt, the first for the year, is expected in March. Rapport-Nytt, issue 1 of 2015, has been printed and is being sent to subscribers. Readers are reminded to renew their 2015 membership fees and subscriptions for UFO-Aktuellt and Rapport-Nytt. The current price list is as follows: UFO-Aktuellt subscription (4 issues/year) costs 230 kr; Rapport-Nytt subscription (5 issues/year) costs 140 kr; and a UFO-Sverige membership for 2015 costs 100 kr. A combo offer for all three is available for 400 kr, saving 70 kr. Payments can be made to UFO-Sverige's plusgiro account 505060-4.

RPC Statistics and Media Coverage

Johan Gustavsson at the Rapportcentralen (Report Center) compiled the 2014 report statistics. In 2014, 164 observations were received by UFO-Sverige. Of these, 26 were still under investigation at the end of the year, and 26 reports lacked essential information, such as the time of the sighting, making them difficult to assess. The remaining 112 reports were categorized as follows: Ifo (53 reports, 47.3%), Likely Ifo (36 reports, 32.1%), Psychological explanation (2 reports, 1.8%), Joke/conscious bluff (2 reports, 1.8%), Difficult to assess (17 reports, 15.2%), and UFO (2 reports, 1.8%).

This compilation by Johan Gustavsson was reported by TT in February, and several newspapers picked up the story. These include VF (Värmlands Folkblad) with an article titled "Arvika/han-delse-i-glava-ar-ufoklassad", DN (Dagens Nyheter) with "två fenomen-saknar-förklaring" (two phenomena lack explanation), and VK (Västerbottens-Kuriren) with "två ufo-saknar-förklaring" (two UFOs lack explanation).
