En av de merkeligste UFO-observasjonene i Hessdalen

This article recounts a remarkable UFO observation made by August Holen on September 18, 1980, near Elgsjøen. Holen, an avid hunter, was out with friends when he saw three round, red objects hovering silently. He described them as beautiful, with a red color he had never seen before, sparkling in the sun. The objects had a brim and a raised center, resembling large candy sugar lumps, with an antenna-like protrusion. The "brim" rotated rapidly, looking like organ pipes with small holes. The objects were estimated to be 4-5 meters in diameter. One object was about five meters above Holen. He noted a strange sensation in the air and a faint humming sound. His companions did not see the objects. Holen was initially skeptical of UFOs but became a believer after this experience. #### Merle Shane McDow, US Navy Atlanterhavsflåte

McDow, who had top-secret clearance, recounts an incident where an unidentified flying object was tracked on radar and visually by pilots off the Atlantic coast. The object exhibited extremely rapid maneuvers, moving hundreds of miles down the coast in seconds. Admiral Trane ordered an attempt to force the UFO down. The incident involved scrambling aircraft from various locations, including Greenland and Nova Scotia. Pilots confirmed the object was not a Soviet aircraft and described its unusual characteristics. The object eventually moved over the Atlantic towards the Azores, where it abruptly changed direction by 66 degrees upwards and disappeared into space. McDow notes that the US military was caught off guard by this technology and that the US has gained significant technological advancements from studying ET technology.

#### Admiral Lord Hill-Norton, Former Head of the British Ministry of Defence

#### Sergeant Clifford Stone, US Army

This article reports that the French space research center CNES experienced a website crash when it attempted to release 30 years of reports on unidentified flying objects. The website, intended to host X-files from 1977 onwards, crashed due to overwhelming public interest. FRANSKE X-FILES OM UFOER UT PÅ NETTET (French X-Files on UFOs Online)

This article reiterates that the French space research center CNES has made over 400 UFO observations available to the public, making France the first country to open its official UFO archives. The website www.cnes.fr experienced immense traffic. Some reports describe UFOs as "luminous toilet seats," and detailed drawings have been made in some cases. NYHETSBREVETS FORUM (Newsletter Forum)

• Randi Aspås Hasvoldseter, originally from the UFO-frequented area of Hessdalen, recounts seeing luminous spheres in 1982 that moved erratically and disappeared when aircraft approached. She estimates having had around 20 observations.
• Rutt Marry Moe describes a significant sighting in 2001 near Øyungen, where a large, luminous yellow sphere, described as an orange, split into two colored halves and behaved like a disco light for about 10 minutes. She also recalls seeing a large, silver-grey, elongated UFO in 1984, estimated to be 30-40 meters in size, with light beams extending from it. Another sighting involved a large, illuminated 'top hat' flying over her car during a snowstorm.
• Åge Moe, Rutt Marry's husband, recounts an experience where he, along with Jon Arvid Aspås and Bjarne Lillevold, observed three 'stars' on a mountain. Two of these 'stars' moved erratically before returning to their positions. The middle 'star' then became intensely bright, turned white, and shot upwards at immense speed. Another object then appeared, described as having windows with an oblong shape and metallic elements, and it also hovered before disappearing. The entire observation lasted nearly two hours. They also reported seeing small, self-illuminating 'beings' or reflections moving around one of the luminous objects on the ground.
• Inger Marie Shkreta shares multiple UFO experiences, starting in 1962 with red and green blinking lights. In 1980, she observed a hovering object resembling a cocoon that moved like a butterfly. A third sighting involved a greyish-black, round 'mass' with yellow light at the front and white light emitted downwards, which she suspected was scanning the ground for minerals. Her most dramatic encounter occurred in 1989 when a large, black, football-field-sized object with a hull and red flames underneath appeared directly overhead, hovering at an estimated 5 meters. She took numerous photos, but the film reportedly disappeared.
• Bjørg Binde Værdalen recounts an experience from 1956 as a 14-year-old, seeing a ring-shaped, luminous yellow object moving slowly across the sky. Her more recent experience involved seeing a UFO from her living room window, described as a grey craft without wings, and later, luminous streaks in the dark sky.

International Reports

• Chile's Military is reported to have released UFO reports and video footage collected over 30 years. A notable event mentioned is a 7-year-old video showing military helicopters chasing a UFO. Another incident from March 2000 involved a Citation 2 aircraft nearly colliding with a 40-meter long unidentified flying object at an altitude of 1000 meters, approximately 100 km from the Chilean capital.

Hessdalen Phenomenon

The Hessdalen phenomenon is a recurring subject. A group from UFO-Norge visited Hessdalen from May 5-7, 1995, to observe. Despite staying up until 3:30 AM on both nights, their observations were unsuccessful due to heavy snowfall limiting their ability to explore the mountains. They did, however, have an informative meeting with Rutt Marry Moe, who shared her local observations.
