Editorial and Contents

The editorial, written by Pål Aune, reflects on the growth of NETI, which has reached 120 members in nine months. Due to limited funds, the membership fee was doubled. The editorial mentions the cancellation of a CSETI course due to low enrollment and high cost, but notes the possibility of it being held the following year. A "vervekonkurranse" (recruitment competition) was not very successful. The editor acknowledges that the magazine, UFO-nytt, generates varied reactions, with one member even resigning due to the previous issue, highlighting the controversial nature of the UFO phenomenon. The editor encourages members to submit their own material. The magazine also announces ongoing video nights at "The Church" starting August 18th.

Articles and Features

"Tilbake til Fortiden" (Back to the Past)

This article features an interview with Kjell Arne Høviskeland, treasurer and secretary of NETI, who recounts his personal UFO sighting in 1979. He describes observing two orange/red round spheres with a constant light that moved rapidly and disappeared. Høviskeland became interested in UFOs after this event and is now collecting observations for NETI. He mentions that many people who report sightings wish to remain anonymous due to disbelief from their communities. He shares two observations from Tysnes: one in Uggdal involving a blinking red, green, and yellow object, and another in Eredalen where a car's engine malfunctioned as a large object appeared in the sky.

It describes the order's goals of improving humanity, reforming the world, and combating evil. The article focuses on a specific faction called "Det Enigmatiske Stratagem" (The Enigmatic Stratagem), which emerged in the 1850s and is believed to be involved in advanced technology and biological research, possibly using "The Grays" as part of their plans. The article also discusses the potential involvement of "The Grays" in alien abductions and their advanced flying objects.

Recurring Themes and Editorial Stance

The magazine consistently explores themes of UFO sightings, extraterrestrial contact, ancient mysteries, and conspiracy theories. There is a clear stance of investigating and presenting information on these topics, encouraging open-mindedness and the sharing of personal experiences. The editorial emphasizes the importance of documenting UFO phenomena to gain wider acceptance. The magazine appears to be critical of mainstream explanations and encourages readers to consider alternative theories, particularly those involving extraterrestrial intelligence and hidden organizations like the Illuminati.

This issue of "Illuminati i dag." (Illuminati Today.) delves into the controversial topic of the Illuminati, exploring their alleged connections to modern entities like Microsoft and Bill Gates, while also re-examining Norse mythology through a lens of advanced technology and cosmology.

Article 1: Illuminati, Microsoft og Bill Gates

This article addresses the growing focus on the Illuminati, particularly concerning Microsoft and William Henry Gates III (Bill Gates). It discusses speculation about whether Microsoft and its leader are part of the Illuminati, with theories suggesting sinister plans for world domination. A key point raised is the alleged existence of a pentagon-shaped building at Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond, Washington, which is rumored to be a hub for a "highly advanced cosmic being" with conspiratorial world-domination plans, echoing the historical accounts of Adam Weishaupt and his associates. The article also highlights a numerological connection, stating that Bill Gates' name, when converted to ASCII values, yields the number 666, the biblical 'number of the beast.' Furthermore, it suggests that the corporate name IBM might not stand for International Business Machines but for 'Iacobus Burgundus Molensis,' the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar.

Article 2: Sannhet eller ikke ? (Truth or not?)

This section reflects on the existence of the Illuminati, acknowledging their significant size and influence in the past, and how they were forced to disband by authorities and the church. It touches upon the theory of an "agreement" with extraterrestrials, stating that while proof is elusive, the concept of the "Enigmatic Stratagem" remains a possibility. The article notes the difficulty in discerning truth from fiction regarding the Illuminati's alleged involvement in numerous global events, especially with the proliferation of information on the internet. It suggests that even a small fraction of the conspiracy theories circulating about the Illuminati's role in the 1980s and beyond could be true, leaving the reader to ponder whether the order remains active and pursuing an unknown ultimate goal. The article lists several sources, including "The Illuminated Bill Gates, Alien Encounters," "Freemason Report on the Bavarian Illuminati," and various internet resources.

Article 3: -QUDENES SANNE ANSIKT- (The True Face of the Gods)

This section, subtitled "A Modern Perspective on Norse Mythology," by Tharald Beck and Pål Aune, aims to analyze Norse mythological texts, artifacts, and depictions using modern scientific and technological understanding. The authors seek to find a technical reality behind the strange events and imagery described in the myths, comparing them with findings from other cultures to identify global correlations. Their focus is on Norse cosmology and whether the Vikings possessed advanced knowledge of Earth, the solar system, and sophisticated technology, including "modern" weapons and flight capabilities.

EN KJERNE AV SANNNET (A Core of Truth)

The authors question why myths survive for millennia and continue to fascinate new generations. They contrast the traditional view that myths arise from a need to explain natural phenomena (like Thor personifying thunder and lightning) with the idea that myths contain a kernel of truth. They cite Rasmus B. Anderson, who stated that "myth is the oldest form of truth" and "mythology is the knowledge of the divine that people in ancient times possessed." The example of Heinrich Schliemann discovering Troy based on Homer's Odyssey is used to illustrate how myths can lead to historical discoveries.

NYE TANKER OM GAMLE FENOMENER (New Thoughts on Old Phenomena)

This part of the article proposes a reinterpretation of Norse myths through a technological lens. For instance, Thor's chariot pulled by goats (Tanngnjóstr and Tanngrisnir) could be seen as rocket engines, and the goats themselves as sources of propulsion. The authors draw parallels with Indian myths about flying deities and their "Vimana" (flying chariots), suggesting that ancient myths contain factual information about technology, albeit cloaked in contemporary comparisons. They liken modern UFO descriptions, such as "flying saucers" or "flying cigar-shaped objects," to how ancient people might have described unfamiliar phenomena using their own vocabulary.

PANTHEONET (KREISEN AV 12) AV ASER OG ÅSYNJER (The Pantheon (Circle of 12) of Aesir and Vanir)

This section details the Norse pantheon, stating that, like many other ancient cultures, it comprised 13 major deities: 12 main gods and a chief god. The authors list and describe 13 prominent gods:

1. Odin: Known as "Grimnir" and associated with Yggdrasil (the world tree). He resides in Valhalla, is married to Frigg, and is the son of Bor and Bestla. He is the creator of the first humans, Ask and Embla, along with his brothers Vile and Ve. He owns Sleipnir (the eight-legged horse) and the spear Gungnir. His ravens, Hugin (thought) and Munin (memory), gather news from the world. Odin sacrificed an eye to the well of Mimir for knowledge, emphasizing that knowledge equals power. Wednesday is named after him.
2. Thor: Also called "Vingtor" and "Thunder God." He lives in Thrudvang and is married to Siv. He is the son of Odin and Fjorgyn. Thor wields the hammer Mjolnir and the belt Megingjord. His servants are Thjalfe and Røskva, and his sons are Mode and Magne. Thursday is named after him.
3. Balder: "The good god," son of Odin and Frigg, married to Nanna. He lives in Breidablik and was killed by a mistletoe arrow. He is prophesied to be resurrected after Ragnarok.
4. Tyr: An original god, associated with the sword Tyrfing. Tuesday is named after him.
5. Brage: Son of Odin, married to Idunn, god of poetry and skaldship.
6. Heimdal: Guardian of Bifrost, son of Odin. He is described as white with golden teeth and can hear everything. He blows the Gjallarhorn to signal Ragnarok. He is also known as Rig, who divided people into classes: slaves, free peasants, and chieftains.
7. Hød (Hóðr): Balder's brother, son of Odin.
8. Vidar: "The silent one," son of Odin and Grid. Known for his thick boots, which he uses to defeat the wolf Fenrir during Ragnarok.
9. Våle (Váli): Son of Odin and Rind.
10. Ull: "Glory," son of Thor and Siv, lives in Ydaler.
11. Forsete: "The one who leads the seat," son of Balder and Nanna, lives in Glitne.
12. Loke: "The air traveler," known for his trickery and shifting allegiances. He is the father of Fenrir and the Midgard Serpent.
13. Njord: Father of Freyr and Freyja, lives in Noatun. He was exchanged as a hostage during the Vanir War and was unhappily married to Skadi. Njord's female counterpart is Njord.

Freyr: "The radiant god," son of Njord, lives in Alvheim, married to Gerd and his sister Freyja. He owns the golden boar Gullinbursti and the ship Skíðblaðnir.

Freyja: "She who lights up the sea at night," possibly referring to Sirius. She is the daughter of Njord, married to her brother Freyr, and lives in Folkvang. She owns a falcon-feather cloak that allows flight and a chariot pulled by cats. She is associated with Orion's belt. Friday is named after her.

The authors suggest that Njord, Freyr, and Freyja might be the same person with different attributes, and that these deities sometimes switch places.

Article 4: NORRØN KOSMOLOGI: DE NI VERDENENE I MYTOLOGIEN (Norse Cosmology: The Nine Worlds in Mythology)

This article posits that Vikings possessed considerable knowledge of Earth and the solar system, referencing Snorre Sturlason's Ynglingesaga, which describes Earth as a "round disc." The authors suggest that the Vikings' seafaring nature necessitated an understanding of spherical geometry for navigation. They focus on the Norse cosmology of nine worlds and explore potential correlations between mythological figures and events and current scientific knowledge of our solar system.

1. Niflheim: The realm of mist and cold, one of the fundamental components of the cosmos.
2. Lysalvenes Verden (Light Elves' World): Described as "more beautiful than the Sun," possibly representing visible stars and celestial bodies that help determine the cycles of Earth and our solar system.
3. Svartalvenes Verden (Dark Elves' World): Described as "darker than coal," potentially representing invisible celestial bodies that influence the universe and our solar system, such as black holes and white dwarfs. This world is linked to the Light Elves' world, representing both visible and invisible stars.
4. Jotunheim (Giants' World): The name suggests knowledge of the outer giant planets, Jupiter and Saturn. The description of the giant Hyme with a "stormy eye" is compared to Jupiter's Great Red Spot. The myth of Thor and Loke's journey to Jotunheim is interpreted as a narrative fitting our understanding of Jupiter and its moons.
5. Vanernes Verden (Vanir's World): Associated with the sea and seafaring, possibly representing the water-rich planets Uranus and Neptune.
6. Alvheim: The land of dwarves who forge tools for the gods. Mars, with its red, rusty surface suggesting iron deposits, is considered a likely candidate.
7. Midgard (Middle Earth): Humanity's world, Earth. The Midgard Serpent is interpreted as the equator belt surrounding the Earth.
8. Helheim: The realm of the dead, associated with the planet Mercury. Mercury's rapid orbit and extreme temperature variations (one side scorched, the other frozen) are linked to descriptions of a hellish realm.
9. Muspellheim: The realm of fire and darkness, the other fundamental component of the cosmos.

The authors suggest that the myth of Gnaa, the messenger of Frigg, riding the horse Hovvarpne, which travels through all worlds, might refer to Pluto, the outermost planet in our solar system.

Article 5: MER NORRØN TEKNOLOGI: SVARTALVENES INGENIØRKUNST SOM GJORDE GUDENE OVERLEGNE (More Norse Technology: The Engineering Art of the Svartalves that Made the Gods Superior)

This article focuses on the "technical" aspects of Norse gods, particularly Thor. It describes Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, with its various forms and functions, suggesting it could be a flying object that returns to its wielder. The hammer's design is compared to a bird with wings and tail feathers, symbolizing flight. The article also mentions Thor's ability to fly himself. The symbol of the swastika (hakekors) is discussed in relation to Norse mythology, particularly its association with spinning motion and its presence on depictions of Thor's chariot. The authors note that the swastika symbol, despite its later negative association with Nazism, was ancient and appeared in Tibetan and Indian mythology. They also highlight the discovery of a 5,000-year-old "rotor" in Egypt, found in the tomb of Prince Sabu, which bears a striking resemblance to modern aerospace technology for controlling rotational speed, suggesting a link to Thor's hammer.

The article lists various "technical" items "forged" by the Svartalves (dwarves):

  • Gungnir: Odin's magical spear that kills or paralyzes entire armies.
  • Skíðblaðnir: Freyr's ship, which could be folded and carried in a pouch, and could sail with its own wind.
  • Draupne: A ring that drips eight exact copies of itself every ninth night.
  • Brisingamen: Freya's beautiful necklace.
  • Freya's falcon-feather cloak: Allows flight.
  • Thor's hammer Mjolnir: Returned to its wielder, had three power levels, could shatter mountains, and operated autonomously. It was described as bright and bluish.
  • Megingjord: Thor's belt, which supplied power to Mjolnir, and was attached to a pack on his back.
  • Iron gauntlets: Worn by Thor when using Mjolnir or in combat.
  • Thor's goats, Tanngnjóstr and Tanngrisnir: Pulled his chariot and their teeth/hooves spouted sparks. Thor could also reanimate their bones.

Article 6: MER NORRØN TEKNOLOGI (More Norse Technology)

This section continues the exploration of Norse mythology as advanced technology, detailing more artifacts and mythical figures:

  • Freya's boars (Hildisvin, Slidrugtanne, and Gullinnbursti): Gullinnbursti could fly and was programmed for flight.
  • Freyr's sword: Could fight on its own.
  • Ull's shield: Allowed him to travel over land and sea.
  • Hugin and Munin: Odin's ravens, sent out daily to gather information, possibly representing surveillance satellites.
  • Andhrimner: The cook in Valhalla, responsible for preparing Sæhrimner.
  • Eldhrimner: The cooking pot for Sæhrimner.
  • Sæhrimner: The boar whose meat was eaten by the Einherjar (fallen warriors) in Valhalla, suggesting a form of pre-fabricated food.
  • Fjalar and Gullkoll: Two roosters that crow at the start of Ragnarok.
  • Heidrun: The goat on Valhalla's roof, providing mead to the fallen Vikings.
  • Eikthyrnir: The stag whose antlers provide water for 36 rivers.
  • Gullfaxe: Hrungnir's horse, faster than Odin's Sleipnir.
  • Svadilfare: Sleipnir's father, known for its hard work and role in building Asgard.
  • Sleipnir: Odin's eight-legged horse, described as the second fastest in the world.
  • Loke's shoes: Allow him to run over land, sea, and air.
  • Frigg's falcon-feather cloak: Lent to Loke for flight.
  • Gulltopp: Heimdal's golden horse.
  • Gjallarhorn: The horn that signals Ragnarok.
  • Idunn's apples: Grant eternal life. Their theft caused the gods to age.

The article concludes by suggesting that Njord, Freyr, and Freyja might be the same entity, and that the 13 main gods in Norse mythology are consistent with similar pantheons in other ancient cultures.

Recurring Themes and Editorial Stance

The recurring themes in this issue are the alleged conspiracies surrounding the Illuminati and their connection to modern powerful entities like Microsoft, and a reinterpretation of Norse mythology as containing advanced technological and cosmological knowledge. The editorial stance appears to be one of questioning conventional historical and mythological narratives, proposing alternative, often technologically-focused, explanations for ancient beliefs and modern phenomena. There is a clear interest in exploring hidden agendas and ancient wisdom that might have been lost or suppressed.

This issue of "THE COMMUNION LETTERS" (dated February 1998) focuses on the intersection of ancient mythology, UFO phenomena, and secret societies, with a significant emphasis on the works of author Whitley Strieber. The cover highlights Strieber's new book, which reportedly reveals more about alien abductions.

Ancient Myths and Extraterrestrial Visitors

The introductory article posits that ancient myths from various cultures (Norse, Sumerian, Greek, South American) share striking similarities in their artistic expressions and narratives. It suggests that these similarities point to a shared, possibly extraterrestrial, technological influence on early human civilizations. The interpretation offered is that the gods of ancient myths were real beings possessing advanced technology, which led to the creation of these myths. The article examines specific artifacts, including boomerang-shaped gold objects and a 'bird-like' plaque found in Denmark, comparing them to witness descriptions of UFOs, such as Kenneth Arnold's 1947 sighting near Mount Rainier.

The Sigurd Saga and Extraterrestrial Contact

A significant portion of the magazine explores the Norse legend of Sigurd Fåvnesbane, reinterpreting his encounter with the Sigerdriva (a Valkyrie) as a potential extraterrestrial abduction. The narrative is analyzed through the lens of modern UFO lore, suggesting that Sigerdriva might have been an alien entity. The text details Sigurd's ascent to Hindarfjell, the appearance of a great light, and his entry into a craft where he encounters a woman whose 'armor' (possibly a spacesuit) is fused to her body. The encounter culminates in Sigerdriva imparting eleven pieces of advice to Sigurd, which are presented as potentially profound teachings from an advanced civilization.

UFO Investigations and Incidents

The issue touches upon the history of UFO investigations, particularly in the United States. It mentions Project Sign and its successor, Project Grudge, established by the US Air Force. A top-secret report from 1948, "Estimates of the Situation," concluded that UFOs were of interplanetary origin but was allegedly ordered destroyed by General Hoyt Vandenberg to prevent mass hysteria. The magazine also recounts the incident of Captain Thomas Mantell, who died in January 1948 while pursuing a UFO over Kentucky. His crash and the subsequent investigation, including comments from retired Major James Duessler and Dr. Loding from Project Sign/Grudge, are presented with a sense of mystery and potential cover-up.

Other UFO-related events mentioned include a near-collision reported by Captain Clarence Chiles over Alabama with a wingless, glowing object, and a radar detection of a UFO over Fukuoka, Japan, by Lieutenant Barton Halter, observed by First Lieutenant Oliver Hempell.

Whitley Strieber's Work and Alien Abductions

Whitley Strieber is prominently featured, with discussions of his books "Communion," "Breakthrough," "Confirmation," "Transformation," and "The Secret School." The article highlights his assertion that alien abductions are far more widespread than commonly believed, often involving multiple witnesses and not typically linked to sexuality or epilepsy. Strieber suggests that these abductions might be part of an effort to expand humanity's spiritual potential and that understanding implants and communication methods could lead to replicating UFO technology.

Strieber's perspective on the nature of these encounters evolves. Initially, he expressed concern about humanity's future, suggesting a need for hyper-dimensional evolution to avoid extinction. Later, he emphasized the potential for UFO-inspired technology to facilitate physical space travel and human advancement. His work also touches upon the concept of time travel and visions of a future world in collapse due to ecological disasters and war.

Implants and the Nature of Memory

The magazine discusses the physical evidence of alien implants, with Strieber himself having had an implant removed from his ear. These implants are described as containing microscopic crystals of calcium carbonate, suggesting a living or unknown origin. The article also explores how brain scanning technology can differentiate between genuine and implanted memories, suggesting that this could be a method to verify the reality of abduction experiences.

Secret Societies and Hidden Knowledge

The issue delves into the concept of secret societies and their role in preserving hidden knowledge throughout history. It discusses the Rosenkreutzers, who claimed to possess knowledge of alchemy, longevity, and universal principles. The legend of the 'Nine Unknown Men' is also presented, detailing a secret society founded by Emperor Ashoka of India, supposedly guarding nine books of advanced knowledge covering areas like propaganda, physiology, and cosmology.

The article notes that these secret societies often used the claim of divine communication to control followers and punish those who revealed their secrets. It also touches upon the modern challenges of maintaining secrecy in the age of the internet and advanced surveillance, suggesting that UFOs and their occupants might be the last true guardians of profound secrets.

Recurring Themes and Editorial Stance

The recurring themes in this issue are the potential for extraterrestrial influence on human history and mythology, the reality of alien abductions as described by figures like Whitley Strieber, and the existence of hidden knowledge preserved by secret societies. The editorial stance appears to be one of open inquiry into these controversial topics, presenting evidence and interpretations that challenge conventional scientific and historical paradigms. There is a clear interest in bridging the gap between ancient beliefs and modern phenomena, suggesting that a re-evaluation of our past is necessary to understand our future.

Title: UFO-NORGE
Issue Date: August 1996
Publisher: UFO-NORGE
Country: Norway
Language: Norwegian
Cover Headline: Mislykket nervegass-angrep på ET-er inne i Mount Blanca, Colorado, av amerikanske «hemmelige» troppestyrker.

This issue of UFO-NORGE magazine delves into several compelling UFO and extraterrestrial-related incidents, spanning reports from the United States and Norway.

Key Articles and Reports

Nerve Gas Attack on ET Base in Mount Blanca

The issue leads with a report from CSETI's website detailing a supposed nerve gas attack on an alleged ET base within Mount Blanca, Colorado, on February 23rd of the current year. The report claims that US forces, equipped with Sarin-type nerve gas, suffered a catastrophic failure. The attacking forces became victims of their own weapons, with a quarter of the military personnel requiring evacuation due to extensive injuries from the chemical warfare. The objective was reportedly to occupy the ET spacecraft center located inside the 14,345-foot Mount Blanca.

In a phone interview with Saucer Smear, Steven M. Greer, founder of CSETI, recounted an experience from a CE-5 "Remote Viewing" course held in San Luis Valley in June of the previous year. Greer stated that participants made contact with ETs inside the mountain. The ETs then appeared to the group, and when Greer approached alone, he vanished into a "golden" light. He was subsequently "surrounded" by about a dozen older ETs who informed him they were under siege by American troops. Steve Moreno, a supporter of CSETI and Greer, reportedly tried to suppress this story, deeming it "too incredible to be true," though he acknowledged some truth to the report and suggested it was too early for Dr. Greer to release such information.

Underground Railway to Groom Lake

On March 26th, 1996, private investigator Nikolos Soren held a press conference in San Diego. He claimed that during a surveillance mission near the Coronado Naval Amphibious Base (Navy SEALs Base), his sensitive listening equipment picked up a conversation between two officers. One officer reportedly said, "Oh f..., look at the clock. We have to get going. The underground railway to Groom Lake leaves in a quarter of an hour!!" The report suggests this refers to an underground connection between Coronado Naval Base and Area 51/Groom Lake at the Nellis Air Force Test Range in Nevada. The Navy has denied the existence of such an underground rail link. Soren later held another press conference on March 29th, stating he had received threatening phone calls telling him to "shut up about the underground railway connection."

Finnish Artist Photographs UFO

Kimmo Ojaniemi, a Finnish artist, unknowingly photographed a UFO in 1996. He was initially photographing a new artwork, "The Pyramid of Knowledge." After developing the films in October 1996, he noticed a black spot in the background of the images. Ojaniemi explained that he used two different cameras for the photos. Upon receiving the developed pictures, he discovered the black spot on all of them. He recalled that no planes, helicopters, or balloons were in the vicinity when the photos were taken. Curious, he sent the material to The Finnish UFO Association, who concluded that the images showed a real physical object hovering above the area, ruling out film defects or camera malfunctions. The film remains classified as unidentified, but Ojaniemi stated that his experience has led him to conclude that "there must be something out there."

CSETI Ambassadors to the Universe Course in Crestone

In mid-June 1997, 37 people attended CSETI's "remote viewing" course in Crestone, Colorado. Crestone is described as an anomaly, located near the massive Sangre de Christos mountains and housing representatives from 12 major spiritual movements. The San Luis Valley, where Crestone is situated, is known for UFO sightings and even reports of a crashed UFO. During the course, amidst a thunderstorm on their second day, participants reportedly saw a metallic disk emerge from the car and cross the valley, disappearing into Mount Blanca. CSETI web-master Tony Craddock described the object as "bright white" and visible for several seconds. The report also mentions that the airspace over Mount Blanca is a "no-fly zone," suggesting potential activity within the mountain.

UFO Observation in Mandal

On January 29th, 1998, at approximately 2:30 AM, two women, Gullbjørg Rosseland and Eva Iveland, were at a cabin on Skjernøy island near Mandal, Norway. They observed a light in the bay, a location known for numerous UFO sightings. Eva's flashlight suddenly stopped working. They saw a pale yellow, glowing orb with "threads" and other distinct yellow and silver points. The object moved up and down and back and forth, with dark fields appearing to sweep around. The image became indistinct, followed by another, weaker orb appearing. At one point, the two lights appeared side-by-side like "owl eyes." The lights then moved independently, with one disappearing behind a hill. The women noted that the lights seemed to have a "negative charge," making them feel uneasy and nauseous. They had previously seen the famous "passenger boat" phenomenon in the same location but felt this was different.

"Never More Ptarmigan Hunting" - Hessdalen Encounters

This section details several accounts from Hessdalen, Norway, a region known for UFO phenomena. One story recounts a hunter's experience on September 18th or 19th, 1980, near Elgsjøen. He witnessed three "magnificent objects" resembling saucers, with a beautiful red color and a rim or wing structure. These objects had rotating parts and a top protrusion. They emitted a faint humming sound and were about 4 meters in diameter. They rose vertically and disappeared towards the north. Other hunters present did not see the objects, but confirmed the witness's fear. The hunter reportedly never went ptarmigan hunting again and sold his equipment.

Another account from January 1982 describes a man walking near Hessdalskjølen who saw a luminous object, described as a bright light with 7-8 stars, moving silently northwest. The object was contourless and disappeared behind a forest. He later learned that others in the area had seen a similar object. On a Tuesday evening in early January 1982, a couple near Aspåskjølen observed a "window-like" object hovering silently over the ground for about 10 minutes.

Farmer Jon Aspås provides further testimony. On April 2nd, 1982, he saw an illuminated, oblong object passing slowly in front of Rognefjellet, coming from the south. On April 24th, he observed a luminous object to the left of Finnåshøgda that moved against the direction of the stars for about an hour and a half. Aspås is described as a reliable and cautious witness. He also recounts an incident where a neighbor called about an object passing Rognefjellet; it was oval with a flat bottom and a top protrusion. The next morning, a similar object, possibly larger and egg-shaped with a flat bottom, reappeared and was visible for nearly 42 minutes. He also saw an object that reflected sunlight, blinking like metal.

During a NETI visit to Hessdalen on September 19th, 1998, the author interviewed Jan Moen, who was to be featured on NETI's 1st anniversary. The article also references Leif Havik's book, "UFO-FENOMENET, Kan det umulige være mulig?"

UFO or Reflection?

An anecdote illustrates how easily one can be deceived by lighting conditions and cameras. The author recounts an experience where a "round light, 'a kind of sun'," appeared and then dimmed. It reappeared to the right, dimmed again, and vanished. This event lasted about 15 seconds. Other witnesses in Hessdalen have reported similar "sun" phenomena that turn on and off. The exact nature of these phenomena remains unknown.

Recurring Themes and Editorial Stance

The magazine consistently focuses on UFO sightings, alleged extraterrestrial contact, and potential government cover-ups. There is a strong emphasis on eyewitness accounts, investigative reports, and photographic evidence. The editorial stance appears to be one of open inquiry into these phenomena, presenting various cases and testimonies without outright dismissal, while also acknowledging the possibility of misinterpretations or hoaxes. The publication seems to cater to an audience interested in the unexplained and the possibility of non-human intelligence interacting with Earth.
