Inside this light, he saw a figure resembling a German soldier from World War I, complete with a helmet. The figure stood within the light, which crackled like a fire and emitted a flickering white and yellow glow. The being remained stationary for about 40-60 seconds before Westerlund, frightened, fled. He later encountered a friend who had seen a light but no details. UFO-Sverige investigators Kurt Persson and Anders Berglund conducted a thorough investigation, including soil samples, which yielded no conventional explanations. The possibility of a prank was considered but deemed unlikely due to the technical resources required. The witness, Lars Westerlund, is described as honest and not prone to fantastical ideas.

Sundsvall Sighting (September 16, 1978)

Jeanette Eklöf, an 18-year-old, reported an encounter while jogging in the Granlo area near Sundsvall around 7:00 PM. She noticed a light in the woods, initially mistaking it for a campfire. Upon closer inspection, she saw an object about two meters high and 1.5 meters wide, emitting a glowing red light that did not illuminate its surroundings. A dark silhouette, described as a human profile, emerged from the object and moved sideways before disappearing. This was followed by rustling sounds from the right side. Eklöf described the object as having a dark line in the middle and two parallel gray lines on the right. She later returned to the site with a friend and found strange, depressed tracks in the grass, which were no longer visible the following day. Loy Solli and Christer Byström investigated the case. A reconstruction involving a car's taillights ruled out misidentification. Eklöf remained firm in her account despite leading questions during interviews. Investigations with the power company (BÅKAB) found no anomalies.

Gotland Military Sighting: Visual and Radar Observation

An expert consulted by UFO-Sverige suggested anomalous radar propagation conditions might explain the strong echo, but a conventional explanation for the visual sighting remained elusive.

Polish Farmer's Close Encounter

This article presents a translated account of a close encounter of the third kind involving a Polish farmer, Jan Wolski, from a village near Lublin. On May 10, 1978, while traveling by horse and cart, Wolski encountered two green-faced beings dressed in black overalls. They took him aboard a hovering craft, where he was examined. The beings communicated in German with a slight accent. Inside the craft, which had black walls and benches, Wolski observed other beings and was offered something to eat, which he declined. Close Encounter Near Vittangi

She described it as a disc-shaped craft, about 2.5 meters high and 10-12 meters wide, with a metallic, copper-like surface and three strong light points. She noted it moved very slowly, appearing to be 'pleasantly lit' from within. Both witnesses experienced physical after-effects, including jaw pain and gritty eyes for Strandelin. Fredriksson, initially unafraid, became increasingly anxious after hearing discussions about UFOs in the village, eventually moving in with her daughter.

Josef Wanderka's Encounters in Vienna

This article features the experiences of Josef Wanderka, a resident of Vienna, Austria, who recounts multiple UFO sightings. In May 1954, he observed a cigar-shaped object with an intense, silver sheen. Later, in the summer of 1955, he encountered a disc-shaped craft in a forest clearing. Fältforskare utbildade (Field Researchers Trained)

The magazine reports on a training course for UFO field researchers organized by UFO-Sverige. The course included a session on "technical aids" where John Wirselius demonstrated equipment like radiometers and metal detectors. Anders Gernandt, a Member of Parliament, gave a talk on human cells and additives, emphasizing the importance of field researchers' well-being. He also performed a magic show.
