Upcoming Meetings and Events

Several meetings and events are announced:

• Parapsychology and Stonehenge Meeting: On Wednesday, October 6th, at 7:30 p.m. at Key Productions, 3803 S. Kingshighway. Marjorie Sherrill will present slides on the Druids of England and Stonehenge.
• General Meeting: On Sunday, October 10th, at 2:00 p.m. at Farm and Home Savings & Loan Bldg., Lockwood & Gore, Webster Groves. The Parapsychology group is in charge, and there will be a Martial Art Demonstration by the Palmbergs and Mr. Crawford.
• Field Investigators Course: Applications are being accepted for the 1982 seven-week course, starting Thursday, October 21st, and running until December 16th. It covers UFO history, phenomena definition, observation techniques, and investigation methodology. For more information, contact Mike Shannon or call 946-1021.
• St. Charles Committee Meetings: Held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Bonanza Sirloin Pit, 1215 Duchesne, St. Charles, at 7:30 p.m. The next meetings are scheduled for October 19th and November 15th.

Refreshments will be served at both the Parapsychology and General meetings.

NOVA Series UFO Program

A PBS NOVA program on UFO cases is scheduled to air on October 12, 1982. Prominent UFO experts will discuss various cases. The program is expected to be controversial from the UFO investigator's perspective. Viewers are encouraged to write their opinions to the Executive Producer, Mr. John Mansfield, at WGBH Educational Foundation, 125 Western Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts 02134.

Skywatch Report

"SKYWATCH - FRUITLESS BUT DELICIOUS" by Bruce Widaman recounts a skywatch event on Saturday, September 18th. Six members of the St. Charles Committee and five others ventured out near August A. Busch Wildlife area and the University of Mo. Weldon Spring Experimental Farms. Despite unseasonably cool weather and fruitless skywatching, the event was salvaged by an exceptionally tasty contribution of eats by Marjorie Sherril and family, followed by an "excellent UFO meeting" at a nearby restaurant. The next skywatch was tentatively planned for October 16th.

UFOs - Hazardous to Health

"UFO'S - HAZARDOUS TO HEALTH" by John Roppolo summarizes a St. Charles UFO Committee meeting on Tuesday, September 21st. Guest speaker Marjorie Sherrill provided a synopsis of the book "Genesis" by W.A. Harbinson and reported on an interview with the author. Bruce Widaman played a KMOX Jim White Show segment featuring Jerome Eden, chairman of the Planetary Professional Citizen's Committee. Eden discussed his research on cattle mutilations, noting similarities in nature and timing across different states. His work suggests UFOs may not be "friendly," citing incidents of fire exchanged by planes and UFOs.
