Editorial: The Cosmic Journey and Creative Manifestation

The editorial, titled "EDITORIAL.", uses an analogy of roadsigns to Rome to illustrate how directions become more meaningful as one approaches a goal. It then shifts to a hypothetical scenario of a gigantic spacecraft on a multi-generational journey with a distant destiny. The craft's instructions are pre-set and become available at intervals, compiled in key-books accessible to everyone. The purpose of this "cosmic travel" is to reach a central universal region where cosmic energy is born. The objective is to "prepare to adapt to the intensity of this radiation; to become identified with it, so that attuned to its frequency it can and must be used for creative manifestation, as is in accordance with Cosmic law".

The text emphasizes that successful identification with this creative source leads to complete liberation from outer dependence. The preparation for the eventual "touch-down" is described as a long process requiring love, discipline, true parenthood, brotherhood, and guardianship. Participation in this plan is voluntary, and the original insights of the "Wise Ones" who conceived the "Plan of migration" are verified.

It is noted that many will prefer to remain identified with outer realities and self-centered use of lower energy phases, thus preventing harm to themselves and others. For those who choose this path, an "inter-dimensional return" to a corresponding sphere of expression is prepared for future occasions. As the spacecraft nears its goal, two groups separate: a "lower vibrational" group that tries to gain control, and a small inner group that faithfully strives to fulfill its destiny. The ship enters a great energy field, causing stress. The inner group breaks a seal and reads a message: "Look beyond your screens of vision and see the strength and purpose of your guardians. We have gone before you and will now flank your entrance into the inner sphere. Regard the shuddering as the raising of frequencies, necessary to integrate the outer and the inner. Be at peace, for a cycle of strife has ended".

Reprint: "UFOLOGY AND THE GREAT PYRAMID"

This section reprints an article by Kenneth Lloyd Larson from the U.F.O. magazine "PERCEPTION" (No. 22, March/April 1971). The article explores thought-provoking ideas about the location and design of the Great Pyramid in Ancient Egypt. It posits that Earth can be considered a perfect circle, with lines extending through the equator and between the poles. The distance from the equator to the North Pole is 90 degrees, making the North Pole latitude 90 degrees North. The Great Pyramid is located at latitude 30 degrees North and longitude 31 degrees East.

Strangely, a straight line from the Great Pyramid to the North Pole through the Earth equals the distance from the North Pole to Earth's center, which in turn equals the distance from Earth's center to the Great Pyramid. This suggests the architect knew the location of the North Pole and Earth's center. The article also notes that the ancient Hebrew prophet Isaiah called Earth the "circle of the Earth" (Isaiah 40: 12, 22 K.J.V.).

When viewed from space, the Great Pyramid appears as a perfect square. The building is situated at the intersection of two diagonal lines of this plan view. These lines extend northeast and northwest, forming a "Quadrant of a circle" design with the Nile Delta. The resulting quadrant design can be seen from space or an aerial vehicle. During certain days of the year, sun-rays shine on the Great Pyramid, reflecting in a huge V-shape northeast and northwest. This occurred on November 1st, the ancient New Year. On the summer solstice, June 22nd, sun-rays extend N-E-W-S, forming a Cross-design on Earth's surface.

The article then draws a parallel, stating that these reflected rays could be seen from space or a spaceship. It notes that flying saucers landed around Levelland, Texas, on November 2nd, 1957. It links November 1st to All Saints Day and November 2nd to All Souls Day, suggesting a connection between these events and human history and destiny. The Great Pyramid is proposed to represent a historical-religious-mathematical-scientific standard located on Earth, serving as a chief cornerstone concerning creation and the Creator.

Talk Continuation: "THE SPIRITUAL SIGNIFICANCE OF U.F.O.'S" by Mr. Kees Beers (Part II)

This section continues a talk by Mr. Kees Beers. The "seven churches" are interpreted as representing divine attributes of man: his existence, consciousness, individuality, wisdom, reason, judgment, and love.

Each individual is endowed with DIVINE EXISTENCE but initially lacks knowledge of its purpose. Learning occurs through experience, leading to universal existence reserved for those in "at-one-ment" with the "Cosmic Life-spirit" called "Father". In this state, individuals are inspired to gain knowledge and motives to express this Life-spirit, basing their existence on the divine Plan for co-creation.

Individuals left the "inner sphere" with DIVINE CONSCIOUSNESS but lacked steadfastness to maintain attunement when removed from it. Like a babe in the womb, they were one with the Father's Life and Being. However, tasting individual existence too early, their wills were not strong enough to maintain consciousness at-one-ment, leading to a downward gaze and the path of least resistance. They received DIVINE INDIVIDUALITY but sought environments for development separate from direct divine influence, leading to externalization of their divine uniqueness and suspension in personality.

Their external personality mistakenly assumed identity of the soul, making the soul a "suspended divinity devoid of direct conscious expression." The term "suspended animation" is used to describe this dormant state, to be awakened by the heightened vibration of Love.

DIVINE WISDOM is also part of heritage, providing access to all knowledge and supply. However, as individuals moved through lower "mansions" of the Father's House, they adopted lower vibrational qualities, becoming engrossed in phenomena and losing sight of the larger picture.

INSPIRED REASON's purpose is to help man know God's will and establish divine order. However, uninspired reason does not lead to Perfection. Those who overcome self-reliance and accept guidance achieve higher understanding.

DIVINE JUDGMENT is essential for discerning right from wrong. The "fall" caused confusion in man's discrimination, focusing on desires, turning judgment into mere opinion. Restoration of divine judgment occurs when man submits to Universal Spirit.

The seventh gift, DIVINE LOVE, is the experience of at-one-ment with all of Life. Man's descent in consciousness led from love of God to selfishness and unwise desires. This selfishness is given a time to be overcome, but man's yielding to temptation is causing the end of the cycle of self-will to steal over the world unnoticed.

Man is urged to prepare to meet "The Lord of Love" impersonally and timelessly through aspiration, and personally in Jesus Christ. Regaining impersonal Love reopens the door to greater dimensions. Elder brothers and sisters of cosmic and spiritual realms are preparing to reintroduce humanity to its "sevenfold estate".

The first half of life's cycle involved descending from pure vibrations to experiences on Earth, becoming mortal beings. On Earth, thoughts focused on outer planes, lacking higher power, and the substance of Earth did not respond to wishes. The natural ability of mind over matter was forgotten, relegated to fairy tales or myths. The fall of spiritual man was complete, and his mission forgotten.

Earth is the terminal of man's "spending spree." When wealth runs out, resort to manual labor begins, prompting reflection on past times and failures. If the cosmos hadn't provided a way to retrace steps to inner consciousness, man would be lost. The "Father," being omnipresent, extends His hands through evolved sons to help man escape selfishness.

Higher guidance of Wisdom provided a practical astral plan for regenerating consciousness of the inner kingdom. Since leaving the Father's house, humans have taken on forms in higher "houses of Life's expressions." Identification with form is how sons and daughters manifest their individual divine life. Life requires form-building; manifesting through an earthly body on Earth is true, as is taking on a glorified body in a higher dimension.

Individual divine life and consciousness determine the body or form best suited for expression. Coarse men's possibilities differ from those of an Einstein or Shaw, and Einstein's suit an etheric brother. There are "many mansions in the Father's house." On Earth, man was offered experiences to regain lost ground. Believing one life is sufficient to retrace the way back to divine knowledge is naive.

The story of the prodigal son illustrates the long and arduous path back to the Father. Many lifetimes of varied experiences (rich, poor, learned, ignorant, etc.) will unfold, determined by past actions according to the law of cause and effect: "what you sow that you will reap."

The Bible describes the slow return of the "Adamic race" to a higher way of life. Through trial and error over many incarnations, humanity has produced a graduating class under the supervision of the first one who returned to the Father. Through Jesus, the aspiring group, then the Jewish people, received guidelines to reshape thoughts and actions through divine Love and the knowledge that all life is one in God.

In his mission, Jesus reshaped man's philosophy of life. Aspirants to divine knowledge were ready for the concept of Love, previously deemed a weakness. While the Old Testament enforced love through laws and sacrifice, the Christian era introduced a new law of Love and at-one-ment, disallowing coarseness. The evolving consciousness of the graduating class needed higher vision of faith. The Age of Pisces, among other cycles, is now terminating, allowing man to aspire to walk in this faith, as demonstrated by Jesus.

The end of a long cosmic cycle is occurring, with relationships to the Greatest. Lesser cycles, like the Solar cycle, the Age of Pisces, the century, and the year, are also ending. The current changes on Earth are significant due to the 26,000-year solar cycle finishing simultaneously with a greater cosmic cycle. This cosmic cycle's end has produced a graduating class. The masterplan cannot fail as it is perceived in Perfection, and Perfection begets Perfection, operating through the law of cause and effect.

International Sky-Watch Weekend

Page 12 details an "International Sky-Watch Weekend" held by "Contact" in Durban on the weekend of June 19th/20th. A group of 15 members and two children from the Durban branch participated at the Banana Beach Holiday Camp on the Natal South Coast. Despite a constant vigil, no sightings were made due to adverse weather conditions. However, the weekend was described as enjoyable, with attendees listening to "U.F.O. tape-recordings" which reportedly increased their understanding and awareness.

U.F.O. Sightings in South Africa

This section reports on UFO sightings. One report comes from Mrs. Pen Gorringe of Seven Rivers, who, along with three friends, observed a silver shape in the sky above Cape Town on June 19th, 1971, at approximately 11:00 p.m. The object was described as very bright silver with a greenish phosphorescence and a red spurt or tail, moving inland from the direction of the sea.

On page 13, Mr. Tommy Mitchell of Durban reports two recent sightings. On July 6th, 1971, while travelling by train to Port Shepstone, he saw a UFO in a sugar cane field. It was described as saucer-shaped with three portholes, metallic silver in color with a pink aura, and stationary. A notable detail was that the craft emitted a beam of fluorescent green light from one side. Mr. Mitchell estimated its size at about 40 feet across and its distance at approximately 25 yards.

On July 20th, 1971, Mr. Mitchell, his wife, and two other people observed a brilliant pulsating silver-white light that seemed to change shape and brightness while moving in a northerly and then north-westerly direction for about 10 minutes before disappearing. This sighting occurred about 5 miles from Port Shepstone.

Another sighting from Paarl is reported: Mrs. M. Botha and her family saw a bright light on Sunday, July 4th, at 6:55 p.m. The light changed color from blue to red to purple and finally green before disappearing behind a mountain.

1+1 = CONTACT

Page 14 features a short article that originally appeared in "Cosmic Contact," a journal published by "Contact" in New Zealand. The article discusses attempts being made by the United States to make contact with UFOs. Jim Cram, a magazine columnist, received information from a high-ranking American Officer working at US installations in Australia. Messages consisting of pure mathematics are being beamed into space, with the hypothesis that mathematics might be universal and understandable to alien beings, potentially leading to contact.

The article also mentions that the Space Sciences Board of the United States National Academy of Sciences has established a new committee to study the behavioral problems of long spaceflights. American scientists believe that while technology and physiological stress are key concerns for orbital flight, human behavior will be the critical challenge for planetary missions. This eleven-man committee is headed by Prof. Donald B. Lindsay of U.C.L.A., who is a professor of Psychology and Physiology.

COPPER MINES UNDER OBSERVATION

On page 15, dated December 9th, 1970, an unusual event is reported near the remote Thaduna open cut copper mine, located 500 miles north-east of Perth, Western Australia. Miners and the camp supervisor observed a "thing" that they believe could be from outer space. The object was oval-shaped, colored white and orange, and hovered over the mine for two hours, emitting a loud hissing noise. It was first sighted by night shift workers around 3:30 a.m. and was observed until 5:30 a.m. before moving slowly southwards. This sighting is noted as one of several reported to the Department of Civil Aviation in Meekatharra.

The magazine also includes a call for reader submissions for publication in "Skywatch" magazine, with correspondence directed to the Hon. Secretary of "Contact" in Durban.
