Is There Life in Outer Space? by Connie Menger

This article, introduced by Editor Timothy Green Beckley, features Connie Menger, wife of flying saucer contactee Howard Menger. The piece details a personal experience and documented event from September 1959 in Pennsylvania. Menger describes witnessing and filming a UFO with an 8mm camera. The object, initially a cloud-like form, took the shape of a shining bluish metallic disc. It then dropped a smaller black object which transformed into a large, pulsating, white substance. This mass, described as a 'blob of white substance,' changed shape, projected a tentacle, and assumed the appearance of a 'huge fried egg' with a bright red center. The object moved erratically, bobbing and floating, before descending to the ground about fifteen to twenty feet from the observer.

Upon reaching the ground, the object, described as a shapeless mass of pulsating life, began to move towards Menger. She noted that the grass and weeds where it had passed were dead and burned brown. A rabbit that darted into its path was instantly killed, remaining in a sitting position. Menger stopped photographing, feeling a cold sweat. The object then seemed to become aware and began to withdraw, ascending about 20 feet into the air, where it was encompassed by a bluish ray. It condensed in size and shape, returning to its original small black ball form, and disappeared into a 'waiting craft.' This film was reportedly shown to a group at the John Mays Discussion Group meeting.

The screw itself was gone, but its contour, with a regular pitch tapering towards the end, was perfectly preserved. This specimen predates human antiquity by millions of years and was shipped to the San Francisco Academy of Science.
• The Nail in Quartz: A doctor returning from California brought a piece of auriferous quartz that split open to reveal a small, slightly corroded nail.
• The Nail in Glacial Till: In the Kingoodie quarry, Northern England, a nail was found embedded in a nine-inch piece of stone within glacial till. About half the nail was protruding, the rest projected into the hill. This nail dates back at least ten to twelve thousand years, to the end of the Ice Age, and possibly older, as it would have been deposited before the ice sheets moved.
• The Austrian Metal Cube: In 1885, a geometrical metal cube was found in an Austrian coal mine. The coal bed was of Tertiary age (12-70 million years old). The object was composed of iron, carbon, and a small quantity of nickel. It featured a perfect incision all around it and two rounded opposite faces. The possibility of it being pyrite was ruled out due to the absence of sulfur. Charles Fort speculated that if indigenous humans couldn't create such an object during coal-forming times, it might have been left by 'visitors from OTHER WORLDS.'
• The Dorchester Bell: In June 1851, a powerful blast near Dorchester, Massachusetts, ejected a bell-shaped vessel of an unknown metal from a solid mass of stone. Floral designs were inlaid with silver.
• The Montana Molars: In 1926, two human molars, three times the size of modern ones, were found in a Montana coal mine in layers dating thirty million years old.
• The California Giant Skeleton: In 1833, soldiers digging a pit at Lampock Ranch, California, found a 12-foot giant skeleton surrounded by carved shells, huge stone axes, and large blocks of porphyry with unintelligible symbols. Similar finds were reported on Santa Rosa Island.
• The Nevada Giant Leg Bone: In July 1877, near Eureka, Nevada, prospectors found a leg bone projecting from a rock ledge. Medical doctors in Eureka confirmed it was human but of gigantic size, measuring 39 inches from knee to heel, suggesting a man who towered 12 feet tall.
• The Tennessee River Footprints: Near Brayton, on the headwaters of the Tennessee river, huge human footprints were found embedded in solid shale. These tracks included man-like heels 13 inches wide, 6-toed feet, and giant hoofprints measuring 8 to 10 inches, indicating the coexistence of humans and large animals.
• The Argentinian Encounter: On October 18th, 1963, Eugenio Douglas was driving in Argentina when he encountered a large circular metallic object. Several tall figures, over 13 feet high, emerged, leaving 19-inch footprints.

The Cave Men of California and Southern Oregon: For years, large, hairy primitive creatures, standing over seven feet tall with wide shoulders, have been sighted along the coast from Eureka, California, to Gold Beach, Oregon. Saucers Return to Mexico City

On August 7th, 1967, Mexico City experienced a significant UFO display. Lights in the sky performed aerial acrobatics for two hours, forming a traditional large V formation that headed north. The lights were later observed in Dalais and Ft. Worth, and a single, slow-moving UFO was seen over Omaha, Nebraska, with its cabin lights clearly visible.
