Weird Saucer Murder Mystery in Brazil

The bulletin leads with a highly unusual case from Brazil. Two electronics technicians, Miguel Jose Viana and Manuel Pereira da Cruz, were found dead on a hillside near Rio de Janeiro. A local woman had reported seeing a luminous object land in the vicinity shortly before their discovery. The bodies were found with lead masks, typically used in electronics to protect the eyes and face from burns, placed over their faces.

An autopsy failed to reveal any cause of death. The incident occurred on August 17th, and after five days of intensive investigation, Rio police admitted they were baffled. The technicians had left home with $2,200, intending to buy electrical equipment, but this sum was not found on their bodies. Each man, however, still had $75 in his pockets.

Several letters in an undeciphered code and three electrical charts with cryptic messages were discovered on the bodies. One message read: "At 4:30 p.m. we are in the determined place. At 6:30 we will take the capsules with orange. After the effect, protect half the face with lead masks. Wait for agreed signal."

Initial theories of electrical shock were dismissed by the post mortem, which showed no signs of it. No antennas or electrical apparatus were found at the scene. Poison, violence, and asphyxiation were also ruled out. Intriguingly, blood was found on a nearby patch of ground, but it did not belong to either of the deceased technicians. Other items found included a lady's handkerchief, a raincoat, sunglasses, a toothbrush, and other seemingly meaningless clues. The investigation was ongoing at the time of the report.

Spectacular Saucer Landing Near Erie, Pennsylvania

On the evening of July 31st, a group of young people, including a high school girl named Jean Klem, were witnesses to a series of extraordinary UFO events near Erie, Pennsylvania. They had parked on a deserted beach at Presque Isle State Park around 8 p.m. As they were preparing to leave about an hour and a half later, their car became stuck in the sand.

Shortly after, they observed a brilliantly lighted object descend from the sky and settle between two trees about 300 yards away. The object was described as mushroom-shaped, with a narrow base and an oval structure, featuring lights on one side and a searchlight that moved along the ground.

Later, a creature described as a dark, featureless, and legless being, definitely not human or any known animal, was seen a few feet from the car. Miss Klem, becoming hysterical, leaned on the car horn to summon help, and the creature moved back into the bush.

At daybreak, numerous mysterious tracks were discovered in the sand. These tracks were photographed by police and official Air Force investigators. The Air Force later admitted they had no explanation for the UFO report, though they stated there was no connection between the saucer, the monster, and the tracks.

Connecticut Boys Attacked by Saucer

On the morning of April 6th, two 12-year-old boys in Norwalk, Connecticut, reported an encounter on their way to school. They claimed a silvery ball, approximately eight feet in diameter, attacked them. The object reportedly dove four times, coming within 15 feet of the ground. The boys described the UFO as having alternating red and white lights on its bottom and a red blinking light on its top.

Two men in a parked car, to whom the boys ran for help, quickly drove away upon spotting the object. The youths then hid under a bridge abutment. The UFO reportedly returned and seemed to be looking for them under the bridge before disappearing after five minutes.
