Decimoctava Reunión del Café Ufológico de Corrientes

This 18th meeting of the Ufological Coffee of Corrientes was scheduled for Wednesday, December 4th, at 7 PM at the Librería Capitulo 1, located at Mendoza 750 in the City of Corrientes. Admission was free, with attendees paying for their own consumption. This meeting is part of the 'Red Argentina de Cafés Ufológicos' network, which also holds similar meetings in Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Colón, Capilla del Monte, La Plata, Morón, Santa Rosa, Rosario, Santa Fé, and Resistencia. The network also has meetings in Valencia, Spain, and Valparaíso, Chile. Those interested in organizing a 'Café' in their city or seeking more information were directed to [email protected].

OVNI Marseille - Ufological Meeting

The regional directorate of MUFON France, also representing OVNI Marseille, organized a ufological meeting on Friday, December 6, 2013, starting at 6:30 PM at the Buffalo Grill restaurant in Vitrolles (suburb of Marseille). The meeting was intended for investigators, friends, and sympathizers to discuss recent observations in the region, connect with others, and introduce new people to ufology. A paid meal was to follow the meeting.

Attention to Venus: Confusion with Planetary Observations

A note alerts that observations are beginning to be recorded that are merely confusions with the planet Venus. This is highlighted by an alert from MOSAÏQUE FM, a Tunisian radio station.

An OVNI in Tunisia: What You Need to Know!

This section reports on videos of Unidentified Flying Objects (OVNIs) that have circulated on the web. MOSAÏQUE FM investigated at the City of Sciences to determine if these objects had been identified by astronomy specialists. A spokesperson from the City of Sciences indicated that the object in question was Venus, the second-brightest planet. Residents of Bizerte had also filmed a similar object a month prior, which was also identified as Venus. The astronomer explained that the perceived 'body' within the object in the videos was due to the quality of the videos and filming equipment, ruling out it being a spy satellite. Regarding Comet ISON, which had approached the sun on November 28th, astronomers were unsure if it had survived its close pass. Tunisian astronauts were closely monitoring images from solar and heliospheric observatories.

Testimony Report: Observation of May 25, 2013

This report details an observation made on May 25, 2013, between 10:30 PM and 11:00 PM in Moreuil. The witness, Fabrice, described seeing 6 ovoïde objects, red/orange in color, moving slowly. The objects appeared sequentially: one, then two, then three, eventually forming six objects side-by-side. The witness reported that the objects stopped and changed direction to the Southeast without a turn. The witness attempted to contact GEIPAN but was unsuccessful. The report notes that the sky was clear and windless, with no nearby nightclubs, high-tension lines, nuclear power plants, or wind farms. The witness estimated the objects' size as 8 mm when held at arm's length between thumb and index finger, and later estimated their wingspan to be between 39 and 45 meters. The witness also noted that the objects moved from East to Southeast at an elevation of 45 degrees, at an estimated altitude of 3000 meters. Fabrice affirmed that they were not Chinese lanterns and stated he was of sound mind and body during the sighting. He later went to the Gendarmerie in Moreuil, but they were not interested in taking his deposition, possibly not knowing about GEIPAN.

Testimony Report: Observation of August 15, 2013

This report details a second observation made on August 15, 2013, between 11:15 PM and 11:30 PM in Moreuil, involving two witnesses (Fabrice and his wife, Christelle). They observed 3 red-orange, ovoïde objects moving slowly. The objects appeared sequentially, with 5-minute intervals between the first and second, and 3-4 minutes between the second and third. The objects stopped and changed direction to the Southeast. The third object also stopped and changed direction to the North. Notably, when an airplane approached, the third object became immobilized, changed color to white like a star, and then resumed its red-orange color after the airplane moved away. It then moved again and changed direction to the North. The witnesses stated they were not Chinese lanterns and did not know what they had observed. The observation was made at night under a clear, windless sky. The estimated elevation was 45 degrees, and the estimated height was 4000 meters. The witness's wife, Christelle, is described as a grounded person. The report notes that this observation was very similar to the one on May 25, 2013, in terms of object shape, color, movement, and stopping/changing direction.
