Derbyshire and other UK sites

Several witnesses in Derbyshire reported seeing a meteor flash across the sky on the evening of May 8th, 2013, described as moving slowly with a greenish glow. Omar Fowler of the PRA commented that this might have been debris from Halley's Comet, not a UFO.

Selston, Nottinghamshire (March 9, 2013)

A PRA member reported observing two or three green glowing lights, about the size of an orange, hovering outside her window near midnight. She described an uneasy feeling and the sense of being watched. The lights were visible for about a minute. Later, a psychic friend told her she had had "alien visitors".

Holbrook, Derby (January 29, 2013)

Ken Owens reported seeing a green light just before 9 pm, appearing to come from the east and descend north at an estimated speed of 800-1200 mph. The object made no noise, had no flashing lights, and was described as the color of a green traffic light.

Bradford (West Yorkshire)

A witness saw a bright orange ball of light moving towards them at 9:25 am on February 18, 2013. The object slowed down, changed direction, and continued moving without noise, appearing circular but difficult to discern its shape.

Birmingham Airport (December 17, 2012)

A police officer claimed to have seen a UFO moving at supersonic speed near Birmingham Airport. The object was described as a light with a bluish tinge that "pulsed rhythmically" and zoomed off. Air traffic control reported seeing nothing, and the officer's account was posted on the 'Haunted Skies' website.

Pilot describes moment an Airbus came dangerously close to crashing into 'UFO' (December 2012)

This article, from 'The Mail Online' by Mario Ledwith, details a near-miss incident on December 2, 2012, involving an Airbus A320 with up to 220 people on board approaching Glasgow Airport. The plane narrowly avoided a 'blue and yellow' object at 3,500ft, approximately 13 miles outside the airport. The UK Airprox Board investigation could not explain the object, which passed beneath the plane. Both pilots described it as "quite large" with a small frontal area, appearing blue and yellow (or silver). Air traffic control reported no other traffic or radar contact. The pilot described the risk of collision as 'high'. The object was noted as being "bigger than a balloon".

Incredible Daytime UFO Sighting – Florida USA (December 2012)

This report features a still image from a video taken on December 29, 2012, by a passenger on a flight returning from Florida. The submitter described seeing a "large, glowing blue dome" that remained motionless as the plane moved. Other passengers and the pilots also witnessed the object, which was described as being bigger than a billboard. The FAA was reportedly aware of the sighting. The object's blue light on what appears to be the nose of a triangular craft is noted as unusual and not conforming to standard aircraft lighting. A civil aviation investigation is reportedly underway.

Sandiacre Mystery (October 1988)

Matt Paterson recounts a personal experience from October 1988 in Sandiacre, Nottinghamshire. While walking home with his mother and sister, he first noticed a vibrant, digital red 'star' that seemed to close in rapidly. Shortly after, a huge, elongated, jet-black triangular craft appeared overhead, moving slowly and silently, with red lights on its points. The craft emitted a deep, uneven drone. Two fighter jets were observed shortly after the craft vanished. Paterson speculates on the nature of the craft, its propulsion, and the possibility of advanced military technology or extraterrestrial origin, questioning why such energy sources are not publicly utilized.

The Sky People: A Report From The PRA Archives (April 1963)

This report, by Omar Fowler, details the experiences of Derek and Dora Hodgson in Australia in April 1963. While staying at a caravan park, they experienced a strange 'static' noise interfering with their radio. Derek, using binoculars, observed three dart-like objects with white, pale blue, and pink lights. The couple later used a Ouija board to attempt contact, receiving the name 'ZI' and the reply "We are the Sky People." They learned that the 'Sky People' were "Guardians" of Earth, visiting for thousands of years. After persistent requests, the 'Sky People' agreed to a meeting. During the rendezvous, they encountered a tall, human-like figure dressed in black, standing by a tree in a clearing.

Article: The Couple's Encounter

This section recounts an experience of Derek and Dora, who witnessed a tall and slim figure in the darkness. The figure appeared to move its hands towards its middle and then suddenly disappeared, restoring the normal shape of a tree's shadow. The couple felt restrained, questioning if it was fright or another force. The following day, they returned to the spot and estimated the figure to be about eight feet tall, based on a projection from a tree trunk. Later, while Derek Hodgson and his family were preparing to leave their 'Oasis' site, a violent tropical storm hit. During the storm, a vivid flash of lightning caused the cabin's lights to flicker and go out. The electrical trip switch, located ten feet off the ground, was inaccessible. However, the lights mysteriously came back on without logical explanation. The next morning, a dark, sooty area was found around the switch, with a sooty outline of a large hand on its side. Derek and Dora made no further contact with the 'ZI's' and soon moved away, as the Vietnam War began and conditions in Australia worsened. In 1967, they returned to England, as predicted by their Ouija board.

Article: Devils in Barcelona

Written by Margaret Fry, this account details an extraordinary paranormal experience in 1970. Fry met Pierre Castello, chief designer of Concorde, through an 'International Golden Correspondence Club'. She later met her pen-friend, Francisco Deulander, in Barcelona in the Spring of 1970. After arriving late at night, Castello booked her a hotel room. Fry was furious when she realized Castello assumed he would spend the night, but agreed he could stay due to her exhaustion. Later that night, Fry awoke to see three 'little devils with horns' in a corner, forming a circle with heads bent and hands over their eyes. When she yelled, both beds began rolling violently. Francisco awoke, and after Fry shouted to turn on the lights, the devils vanished, and the beds stopped. Francisco apologized, attributing the event to 'wicked thoughts'. He worked for the Electricity Board and was described as a respectable person. Years later, in 1973/74, Fry remarried and met Francisco again. She asked him about the incident, and he reacted strongly, calling it 'THE MOST HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE', confirming it happened. Fry wonders if the 'devils' were aliens, noting a similarity to an illustration from Graham Birdsall's UFO Magazine, except for the eyes. She also mentions a similar experience of tall aliens materializing at her house in North Wales in April 1984 with her husband.

Article: Mississippi Alien Craft Stored at Base

This report, submitted by M. Fry ([email protected]), details an event on June 20, 1954, at Greenville Air Force Base. The author's uncle, an electronics specialist, was escorted with other civilians into a hangar. A disk-shaped aircraft, about 40 feet in diameter, descended vertically and landed outside. Military men filmed the event. A child-sized alien being emerged and used a hand-held computer to communicate with military personnel. The alien craft was then pushed into the hangar. After being moved outside again, it lifted vertically and silently and darted away. The author recalls hearing this story as a teenager and later found a television program where a man described the same event in detail, though this specific interview was never seen again. The author believes the government has not confessed its knowledge of UFOs since 1949. The accompanying image is noted as a rendering by Ken Pfeifer.

They saw a bright light and a weirdly shaped dark object hovering over the street, ascending higher. The witness's phone stopped working. The object shot off at high speed. Within an hour, the phone worked again, and calls were received from others who saw the same thing. The dog, which had disappeared, returned the next day with a burned tail, and the witness's voice seemed higher.
• Allerton, Bradford (West Yorkshire): On February 18, 2013, a witness saw a bright orange ball of light moving towards them. The object slowed down, changed direction, and moved on without any noise. The witness initially feared it was a meteorite but concluded it was not an aircraft.
