ITALIAN CASE HISTORIES - THE YEAR 1980 By G. P. Grassino & M. Nebbia This section summarizes approximately 60 UFO/IFO reports from CUN files for 1980, with the goal of informing readers. Full sources are available from the CUN Data Bank. Reports from November 11th (around 100 cases) will be analyzed later. Witness names are only published if they have appeared elsewhere, following CUN Council decisions to protect privacy.

Selected Cases from 1980:

• January 10, 06:00 - Fabbrico (Reggio Emilia): Mrs. Luciana Bianchi reported being enveloped in an orange light that "blocked" her, followed by a "priest-hat like" body moving away noiselessly.
• January (several days and hours) - Trento: Mr. Vittorio Benetti observed a "spacecraft" flying over Trento for over a month. Investigation revealed it was the planet Venus viewed through an old binocular with refraction effects.
• February 26, 18:45 - Ancona: Members of a RAI-TV troupe filmed a star-like light that accelerated and moved away, with a second light visible in the film.
• March 11, 22:00 - Cosenza: Barman Francesco Fragale and his parents reported strange noises and saw a tall, black, silent figure described as "a Martian" or "like an all-black gorilla."
• March 21, 01:15 - Gioia del Colle (Bari): Paride Orfei and Phelipe Gonzales saw a moving light in the sky. Gonzales later found his watch stopped at 1:15 and had an oval-shaped burn on his left wrist, while Orfei had similar burns on his belly.
• April 21, after midnight - Melilli (Siracusa): Photographer Antonio Garofalo's car motor died while observing a low, disc-shaped object with an orange beam and blue lights.
• May 14, 23:00 - Briatico (Catanzaro): Two lights in the water were observed, and a cilindrical, metallic, red object with an antenna was retrieved, identified as a Soviet hydrophonic buoy.
• October 2, 15:20 - Venezia: TV-news cameraman Gabriele Coassin filmed a greenish globe. The phenomenon was later identified by Coassin as a malfunction of his camera's automatic focus stimulating green sensors while pointing at the sun.

HUMANOIDS AT GALLIO - Part 2 By A. Chiumiento This article details an encounter on November 24, 1978, where Angelo D'Ambros, 61, reported seeing two "unhuman beings" hovering near him. The beings were described as thin, with yellowish skin, large heads, and embedded eyes. One entity attempted to take D'Ambros's pruning knife, causing electric shocks. Shortly after, D'Ambros saw a strange "oblong object" resting on four legs in a clearing. The object was described as metallic, red, white, and blue, with grey legs. It took off at high speed. The clearing showed signs of a circular area with blackened grass, crushed anticlockwise, and two U-shaped imprints. CUN investigators later found the traces no longer visible due to snow.
