• Near La Grande, Oregon, USA: Ward Weissenfluh, a school superintendent, and his wife observed a "glowing object" fall in the vicinity of a circular earth impression, believed to be caused by a meteorite. The object was blue-green, appeared hot, and traveled east.

Mystery Blast in Seattle

An explosion shook homes and rattled dishes in Seattle, Washington. Speculation pointed to a sonic boom, but spokesmen from McChord Air Force Base and Paine Field denied having supersonic aircraft in the air at the time. Authorities had no explanation for the blast.

South Dudley, Australia UFO Sighting

Children in South Dudley, Victoria, Australia, first sighted an orange ball, described as "many times bigger and brighter" than an airplane light, hovering and flashing. The object later moved at tremendous speed over the sea and disappeared. During the sighting, T.V. sets in the area behaved erratically.

Unidentified Object Over Alabama

State troopers received multiple calls about an unidentified flying object hovering over Albertville and Gadsden, Alabama, and later over Mobile. The object's size, shape, and color were unknown, but the number of witnesses suggested it was not a mistake. A private plane pilot also reported seeing the object.

A 18-year-old resident of Gadsden, Alabama, reported hearing a "whistling sound in the sky" followed by seeing a strange, light-like object turning in the sky, which disappeared after the whistling stopped.

Meteorite Hole Investigation

Reports detail the discovery of an unusual, 10-foot circular hole in the ground near Kamela, Oregon, believed to be a meteorite impact site. A volunteer group dug out the hole but found no meteorite or identifiable particle. Evidence of charring and shattered tree roots was found, and the hole was cleared to a depth of three to four feet, revealing solid rock.

Glowing Object Near Auburn, California

An unidentified flying object, described as "looking like the moon and giving off a pulsating white glow," was spotted west of Auburn, California, and sighted as far away as San Francisco. Highway Patrolmen observed the object for about 90 seconds, noting its pulsating light and slow movement.

Sunnyvale UFO Sighting

Three public safety officers and several citizens in Sunnyvale, California, sighted a strange flying object. Reports described it as a "round disc, more solid in one part than in others, with a light that faded in and out." Air Force radar and Moffett Field observers did not detect it.
