She also notes the presence of small discs with wires attached to her leg and arms. She recalls another being, the "guard," who escorted her. The witness states she was not probed or examined with needles.

After the examination, she was escorted back to the vehicle by the guard. She notes that the being's legs were straight and its feet scuffled. She did not see her friends, Willie and Al, and does not know what happened to them. Recent Mysterious Creature Reports from New England

• September 10, 1978: A 21-year-old engineering student in Westfield, Mass., shot three pictures of what he thought was a bear about 500 feet away. • November 12, 1978: A hunter in Vermont watched an upright creature at about 500 feet for five minutes. They had experienced strange noises and vandalism, which they attributed to local kids. On January 5, 1979, Ron's wife was frightened by their dogs. Ron had an auto accident and was driven home by friends. While armed and searching the woods, Ron became separated and heard a noise. He directed his light onto a hairy figure about 1.60 feet from him, described as six to eight feet tall, standing on two legs, brown with a black, hairless face and no snout. The figure ran at him, and Ron fired his .38 caliber gun six times. He tripped and fell but continued to race back home, describing himself as being in a possible state of shock. His friend Willie heard the shots and saw Ron in tears. The Charlton police were called, and Officer Stone noted that Ron was the second witness to see a hairy creature in the area recently. An investigation of the area found no tracks or body.
