Editorial: The Year 1978 and the Rise of the Aliens

The editorial for March 1978 highlights the significance of the year, marked by the release of "STAR WARS" and "CLOSE ENCOUNTERS," which brought the existence of aliens and the concept of 'The Force' to the American public. The editorial suggests these films, particularly "Close Encounters," act as a 'trigger' for those who have had personal experiences with 'Them,' potentially leading to an 'avalanche of new stories.' It frames these events as a 'culling process,' separating individuals based on their 'Awareness' and love for 'HU-man life.' The editorial also discusses the 'NEW AGE' and the 'PHASE SHIFT,' describing a transition into new vibratory frequencies and consciousness levels, moving away from old frequencies of hate and intolerance. It references a past cataclysm where a 'Voice' guided humanity, leading some to the stars and others to sink into the mud.

UFO PHENOMENON

This section presents several brief reports on UFO-related incidents:

  • Santiago, Chile: Corporal Armando Valdes was abducted by a UFO for 15 minutes and reappeared with a changed appearance and calendar. UFO researchers warned him against hypnosis.

CASE HISTORIES: UFO KIDNAPPING! FLORIDA STYLE

This is presented as the conclusion to a Florida UFO abduction case, told in the witness's own words and accompanied by her drawings. The witness, Mary Hardy, describes a marriage dispute leading her to walk on a highway, where she encountered a UFO and two men. She was taken inside, subjected to a procedure with needles, and fainted. Upon returning, she found she had lost time and later discovered she was pregnant. She also recounts her son's unusual development, describing him as a "Superbaby" with extraordinary strength and abilities even at a young age, suggesting a possible connection to the abduction experience.

Recurring Themes and Editorial Stance

The New Atlantean Journal consistently explores themes of the unexplained, paranormal, and extraterrestrial. The editorial stance appears to embrace the idea of a coming "New Age" and a significant shift in human consciousness, influenced by popular culture like "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and the concept of aliens. There is a strong emphasis on personal experiences and testimonies, such as the Hardy family's abduction account and the witness's detailed narrative. The journal also touches upon psychic phenomena, ancient mysteries (like Atlantis), and predictions, positioning itself as a platform for exploring alternative realities and spiritual evolution. The publication seems to encourage reader participation through letters and the sharing of theories and experiences.

This issue of "The National Exchange" features a collection of articles exploring a diverse range of topics, from personal accounts of unusual experiences to critical analyses of paranormal phenomena and ancient mysteries. The magazine appears to cater to an audience interested in alternative perspectives, esoteric knowledge, and suppressed information.

Article: A Mother's Account of Her Son's Abilities

The issue begins with a personal narrative from a mother describing her son's extraordinary abilities. At five years old, he demonstrated unusual strength by lifting a heavy antique house jack. As he grew, he exhibited limited telepathic abilities, a high IQ, and a unique physical characteristic: a brown spot in his left eye, called his "extra eye." The mother notes that her son does not resemble his father, describing her husband as a blond with fair skin and green eyes, while her son has dark skin, and she has dark hair, blue eyes, and a medium fair complexion.

The narrative then shifts to an encounter with a "craft." The mother recounts a conversation about a panel with lights of color on the craft. She was told that this panel was a communication board that used colors, not words or symbols, for communication, colors that are not recognizable on Earth. She also mentions hearing a "whispery voice" and experiencing disturbing dreams about the craft's occupants. These occupants, she states, all wore the same symbol, which looked like a stylized figure (depicted as 'BELOW'), and one had a pendant with a star and engraved symbols, including the 'BELOW' symbol.

Further details about her son's abilities are provided. He frequently anticipates what people will say or do, is interested in astronomy, and hopes to become an astronaut. He is not afraid of the dark and enjoys stargazing. A particularly strange incident occurred when he was 3½ years old; he saw the sun and moon simultaneously in the sky and excitedly exclaimed, "Look, Mamma, two suns, just like at home!" The mother also notes that her son seems to have a high pain tolerance, barely feeling pain.

Editors Note

An editor's note accompanies the mother's story, expressing that there is "much more to this story, and some that will never be told." The editor respects the woman's wish for privacy and describes her as "a very courageous woman." The note speculates that her son "may be one of our leaders of the future, or of our past," and concludes with a hopeful sentiment about "God's Blessings to the children of world's present-time."

Visuals and Symbols

Accompanying the narrative are illustrations of a "book" covered in symbols and a pendant with a symbol. The "book" is described as being on the craft, with its whole page covered in symbols. The pendant is identified as the same symbol that was "everywhere" and worn by some.

Book Advertisements and Subscriptions

The issue includes advertisements for various publications and services. "Success Formula and Other Russ Michael Books" are advertised with titles like "Finding Your Soulmate," "Divine Psychology," and "The Science of White Magic." "The Pyramid Guide," an international bi-monthly newsletter from "Life Understanding Foundation," is promoted for its coverage of "Cosmic Forces and Free Energies." A subscription offer for "The National Exchange" newspaper is also present, promising "Unusual Reporting," "Exciting Features," "Suppressed Inventions," and "Free Energy Motors" for $9.90 yearly.

Article: The Amazing Chinese Pyramids by Dr. Ron Anjard

Dr. Ron Anjard writes about spectacular "Zhensi giants" in Central China – seven earthen pyramids of enormous size located along a seven-mile plain west of Sian-Fu. These pyramids are in decreasing size relative to their positions. The largest is estimated to be over a thousand feet high, twice the height of the Great Pyramid of Giza, with a base of about 1500 feet. This suggests a different slope angle than the Giza pyramid. Explorers have estimated their age at 5000 to 6000 years old and were unable to find openings to inner chambers or artifacts.

The article also describes an "awesome, crystal-capped white pyramid" in Hupei Province, China. This pyramid is three-sided, with a crystal capstone estimated at 200 feet high. Its overall height is estimated between 1700-1900 feet, four times the height of the Great Pyramid of Giza. The author suggests that the Ancients possessed the knowledge to grow and construct this immense crystal topstone, possibly using it as an energy accumulator or for religious purposes, hypothesizing it as a powerful, high-vibration communicative device.

Article: Beyond Physical Death (the electromagnetic factor) by William Hans Weiss

William Hans Weiss explores the concept of existence after physical death, focusing on the role of bioelectromagnetic fields. He discusses reports from individuals resuscitated after clinical death, noting similarities in their experiences: hearing a ringing or buzzing, a sensation of moving through a tunnel, and a "detached" state outside their bodies. These accounts are compared to descriptions dating back to Plato, though Freud's suggestion of wish-fulfilling dreams or hallucinations is also mentioned.

Weiss proposes that the "soul" might be the "ENERGY of the body." He cites scientific investigations revealing the spectrum of electromagnetic energies in the human body, including brain waves measured by EEG and electrical emissions studied by Dr. Harold Saxton Burr (15-50 millivolts). Magnetic fields from the heart and brain are also noted, as is the magnetization of iron in hemoglobin. Dr. Genady Sergeyer's work is mentioned, where bio-fields, including electrostatic charges up to 10,000 volts per centimeter, were detected from clinically dead individuals. Weiss concludes by questioning if these bioelectromagnetic fields, which physics states cannot be destroyed but only altered, are indeed the historical "soul."

The National Exchange and Gnostica Advertisements

An advertisement for "The National Exchange" newspaper reiterates its focus on "Unusual Reporting," "Exciting Features," "Suppressed Inventions," and "Free Energy Motors." Another advertisement promotes "Gnostica," described as "America's one magazine of authentic Occultism," covering topics like Tantra, WitchCraft, Magick, Parapsychology, and Astrology. It is published bi-monthly and offers extensive content.

Article: The Making of the Saucer Mystery by Peter Kor

Peter Kor critically examines the creation of the "saucer mystery." He argues that much of it is intentionally created by "researchers" whose goal is to keep the enigma alive, often promoting philosophies that are not based on evidence. He also points to unintentional mystery creation stemming from a lack of rational inquiry, an "unjustifiable reliance on testimony," and logical errors among researchers.

Kor identifies several widespread mistakes that inflate the saucer mystery:

  • Mistaken Association: Lumping diverse phenomena (sea serpents, cattle mutilations, giant birds) into one "saucer mystery" category.
  • Unjustified Speculation: Operating on the premise that a lack of proof for one solution justifies any speculation, ignoring what is possible and contradictory ideas.
  • Authority Worship: Blindly endorsing the beliefs of "recognized authorities" (like astronomers or psychologists) who have shifted to a pro-saucer stance, without critically evaluating their credentials or evidence.

Kor asserts that the biggest flaw in the process is a logical error: "Lack of disproof for a claim is not proof of the truth of the claim." He emphasizes that the overwhelming majority of alleged "best saucer cases" are anecdotal and not factual. Documentation of claims is not evidence of their truth, but merely of the claimants' willingness to put them on record. He criticizes the tactic of using mundane physical-effect reports (like radar returns) as proof of tangibility, then pointing to close-up reports lacking such verification as proof of the nature of the reality. He states there is no provable connection between radar reports and close encounters.

Kor concludes that the "saucer mystery" is largely a saga of ideas and philosophies, not of objects and probes. The solution lies not in identifying alien agencies, but in achieving a breakthrough in understanding that would make the concept of flying saucers unnecessary. He notes that over thirty years of commotion have yielded no single verifiable incident requiring an extraterrestrial or paranormal explanation.

Editors Note (Peter Kor Series)

An editor's note introduces Peter Kor as an expert in the UFO field who has written for major publications. He is described as speaking of "reality, of YOU, of US, and of THEM." Readers are invited to agree or disagree with his views.

Title: COSMIC WISDOM
Issue: 31
Date: Undetermined
Publisher: Unknown
Country: USA
Language: English

This issue of COSMIC WISDOM explores a variety of topics related to unexplained phenomena, ancient mysteries, and esoteric beliefs. The magazine features articles on the Coral Castle, ancient cave phenomena, the symbolism of the English alphabet, astronomical configurations, and future predictions.

The Coral Castle

The lead article, "THE CORAL CASTLE" by Robert L. Bennett, details the enigmatic monument located near Miami, Florida. Built by Edward Leedskalnin, a single man, over 25 years, the castle is constructed entirely of native coral rock. The construction presents numerous mysteries, particularly how Leedskalnin, with seemingly no heavy equipment, managed to quarry, shape, and lift stones weighing up to 30 tons, some larger than those used in the Egyptian Pyramids. Leedskalnin, who arrived in America in 1921, was reportedly motivated by a lost love and spent his days studying in libraries, focusing on Astrology and magnetics. He theorized that "The North and South Poles are the Cosmic Force," holding the earth together, a concept noted as similar to Einstein's theory of Unity. The castle contains massive walls, a tower, and artistic objects, including a "Polaris Telescope," a balanced gate, a heart-shaped table, a replica of Stonehenge, and a lounge chair. Some mediums believe the gardens are populated by spiritual entities, while others claim Alien Beings assisted Leedskalnin.

Cave Phenomena Circa 1839

Reprinted from the Santa Barbara Newspress, this section recounts strange phenomena observed in a Montecito canyon in August 1889. A blue flame was seen issuing from a cave opening, followed by explosions. An exploration party later entered the cave, discovering a chamber with perfectly symmetrical columns formed by stalactites and stalagmites. Approximately 400 feet inside, they found a large room with a rostrum and a throne made of California marble, topped by a gold canopy supported by silver pillars. A secret spring activated a stone, revealing a dark abyss. The ceiling was described as a perfect representation of the heavens, indicating advanced astronomical knowledge. The chamber walls were colored pink, white, rose, and blood-red, bearing undeciphered mythological inscriptions. The floor was composed of mummified human remains mixed with naphtha and asphalt. Iron-bound chests containing parchments with hieroglyphics were found. The chamber is speculated to have been the laboratory of an Aztec alchemist.

The English Alphabet

An article titled "THE ENGLISH ALPHABET is a code that, when unraveled, tells the majestic story of man" by Robert M. Hoffstein, explores the mystical and symbolic meanings embedded within the English alphabet. It suggests that the alphabet was created by holy men to instruct in the "sacred Word of God." The article delves into the origins of certain letters, their numerical associations (like H and eight), and their symbolic representations. It analyzes words like "true" as meaning "based on three" and "truth" as the realization of the three (TR) in relation to the individuating principle (TH).

Letters to the Editor

This section includes correspondence from readers. Mark Winter from New Jersey inquires about a rumor of 26 people being kidnapped and a message being given out. Marian Nigl from Corning, NY, praises the magazine's improvement and expresses interest in the Board of Consultants. Vivienne Verdor-Roe from San Francisco asks for information about a conference on 'EarthChanges 1982-1984' held in Long Beach, Florida. An anonymous reader from Denver notes the passing of Ray Palmer, former editor of SEARCH/FORUM, and expresses hope that Cosmic Wisdom can fill the void.

Predictions!

Authored by Rev. Thomas Allen Long, this series of predictions concerns the "Re-Discovery of the Old Continent and its submerged treasures." It foretells scientific news from Ecuador and Peru regarding an underground passage leading to records of an advanced race, possibly related to Atlantis, by 1982. In Egypt, an "uncovering" is predicted within 21 years, revealing a corridor to a Hall of Records intended to aid human survival during "EarthChanges" from 1959 to 1993. The Great Pyramid is described as a monument of knowledge, with laser-type beams and sound waves used in its construction. The predictions also mention a revelation in 1977 or '78 about the U.S. Government holding an "Unknown Being" possibly connected to UFOs, and the emergence of "Time-Warp" materializations, explaining phenomena like Bigfoot and BigBird sightings, all leading to a higher dimensional state of being after 1998.

The Solar Lotus

This section presents a diagram and explanation of "THE SOLAR LOTUS," discovered in 1367 BC and rediscovered in 1976 by Rocky McCollum. The diagram illustrates the solar system as a "Solar Lotus" and relates it to the "Human Lotus" (human body). It details the configuration of planets, their orbits, and their assigned rays and numbers, linking them to concepts like Energy, Petals, Planets, Constants, Comets, Judgment, Intellect, Harmony, Love, Will, and Ego. The Sun (SOL) is identified as the GODHEAD, containing the first three rays. Planet "X" is mentioned as a remote, cold, physical planet that will likely be discovered soon. The article references a book by Rocky McCollum, "Akhenaton's Secret, the Solar Lotus," for further details.

The Masters of Camouflage??????

By TAL Levesque, this article discusses "Masters of Camouflage" who are creatures, not necessarily Alien, living among humans with outward appearances of human beings. These beings are described as eccentric and operate from specific locations called "Portals" or "Entry Points." These areas are cyclic in nature, with key days being Wednesday and the 24th of the month. The article suggests that individuals with high psychic potential are more prone to witness these visitations. It also notes that these "Portal Areas" often coincide with peculiar faults, magnetic variations, and ancient sites. The "Phantom Phenomena" are described as apparitions and trans-vibrational energy forms, tied to human consciousness and the immediate environment, primarily concerned with misleading and misinforming humans. They are seen as playing mischievous games and are composed of the dualities of existence.

Recurring Themes and Editorial Stance

The recurring themes in this issue of Cosmic Wisdom include the exploration of unexplained phenomena, ancient mysteries, and the potential for advanced or hidden knowledge. The magazine presents a belief in esoteric concepts, cosmic forces, and the possibility of extraterrestrial or extradimensional influences on human life and history. The editorial stance appears to be one of open inquiry into subjects often considered fringe or paranormal, encouraging readers to consider alternative explanations and possibilities beyond conventional understanding. There is a consistent focus on uncovering hidden truths, whether in ancient structures, symbolic languages, or future predictions.

This issue of ZENOLOG focuses on a reported UFO abduction case and explores themes of ancient civilizations and self-discovery.

UFO Kidnapping! -- California Style!

The lead article details the alleged UFO abduction of Judy Kendell, a 23-year-old legal secretary, which occurred on a Saturday in November 1971. The account is presented as a recollection facilitated by a hypnotist, Dr. W.C. McCall, who traveled from Anaheim for the session. Kendell reported that while driving her two sisters home from Bodega Bay to Samora in her "old blue Ford," their vehicle was lifted off Interstate 505 near the Cache Creek Bridge by a spaceship. The trip, which should have taken three hours, inexplicably lasted until midnight, with the sisters having no memory of the missing time.

During hypnosis, Kendell described a "milky white" alien creature with a bulbous head, saucer-sized red-pupiled eyes, and no ears, only "holes." The creature's face was partially covered by a mask, but she noted its neck had red veins and its body was human-looking with five fingers. The alien reportedly touched her forehead and spoke in muffled English, saying, "It's Okay, it's okay."

Kendell then experienced pain on her right thigh and felt something cold and hard being inserted into her ear. She described being poked and then lying on a cold table with a sheet over her, during which she felt her urine being taken, describing it as "cathaterizing me." She saw three different types of creatures dressed in gray, standing at the foot of the table. Strangely, she also saw a regular human woman with straight black hair and blue eyes, who handed one of the creatures a tube of colorless fluid. This woman knew Kendell's name and tried to reassure her.

Later, Kendell described being in a "round room with windows all around," with two bucket seats and a console. She saw three lights over the seats and a table with what looked like "doctors 'probes'," a black box with "speakers holes in it." She heard her sister crying, who wished to remain unidentified and was unwilling to discuss the experience, stating, "They are scared to find out what may have happened to them."

Upon returning to the car, Kendell found herself behind the wheel. She remembered the grey-clothed creatures carrying her by her hands and feet and throwing her into the car. Her sisters then seemed to materialize. They arrived in Zamora around midnight, having crossed the Cache Creek Bridge on Interstate 505 twice. Dr. McCall noted that he had hypnotized about six people with similar abduction stories, but getting corroborating accounts from Kendell's sisters was a challenge.

The Search for Self - 'FULL CIRCLE' Game

This section advertises the "FULL CIRCLE"™ game, described as a unique and beautifully illustrated work of art. The game is said to be a microcosm of the larger "Game" of life, with 49 spaces representing seven levels within seven planes. The goal is to "enlarge awareness" and "make the circle full" by expanding consciousness outward, ultimately encompassing "ALL" and reuniting with "Source, GOD."

The game includes entertaining and meaningful pieces, a 25-page booklet titled "Life's a Journey Homeward Bound," and is available for $9.99 through QUEST GAMES in Jacksonville, Florida.

Future Destruction & Ancient Civilizations

Page four features a graphic with the title "FUTURE DESTRUCTION" and the subheading "To Whom it May Concern..." It includes imagery related to "CATACLYSMS," "ATLANTIS," and "Their Warnings." There is also a section asking "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE Maya CIVILIZATION?" This page appears to be a flyer or promotional material for "THE NEW ATLANTEAN RESEARCH SOCIETY" based in Pinellas Park, Florida, and includes an address for a "BILL CAULFIELD" in Kansas City, Missouri.

Recurring Themes and Editorial Stance

The issue leans heavily into themes of UFO phenomena, alien encounters, and paranormal experiences, as exemplified by the detailed abduction account. It also touches upon ancient mysteries, lost civilizations (Atlantis, Maya), and spiritual or self-exploration concepts, as seen in the "Full Circle" game advertisement and the "Future Destruction" flyer. The editorial stance appears to be one of presenting these phenomena and concepts as subjects of serious interest and investigation within the UFO and esoteric communities.
