Yellowstone Super Volcano Threat
Dr. Bruce Cornet and other volcanologists are issuing warnings about a potential eruption of the super volcano in Yellowstone. The ground in parts of the park has risen significantly, with some areas now closed to tourists. The park is reportedly on a 600,000-year eruption cycle, and the last eruption occurred 640,000 years ago, suggesting the next one is overdue. The potential eruption is estimated to be 2,500 times the size of the 1980 Mount St. Helens eruption. Signs of impending activity include dead fish in streams, a closed lake, a strong sulfur smell, animals migrating out of the area, new geysers, and mud pots. Ground temperatures are frequently reaching 200 degrees, and earthquakes are occurring regularly. A link to further information is provided: http://www.solcomhouse.com/yellowstone.htm.
Ohio Flying Triangle Sighting
Kenny Young reported a sighting via the Cincinnati UFO Hotline on September 13, 2003, around midnight. Mandy, a 21-year-old, along with her mother, sister, and a friend, observed a large object off Route 32 in Seaman, Adams County, Ohio. The object displayed a triangular formation of lights that flashed in sequence and alternated colors from pinkish-red, blue, white, to yellow. The lights were on the outer edges of the triangle, which faced downward. The flashing effect was described as different from twinkling stars, and the colors changed in unison. The object hovered above Belfast for nearly an hour at an elevation less than 45 degrees above the horizon. Mandy's mother, initially skeptical, felt the object was unusual enough to warrant reporting. Coyotes were heard howling loudly during and the evening prior to the sighting. Thanks are extended to Kenny Young of UFO RESEARCH for the report.
Strangely Lighted Field
Reported by Donnie Blessing, MUFON State Section Director for Ohio, this incident occurred on Sunday morning, December 02, 2003, at 06:40 am. A 72-year-old man, while deer hunting east of Columbus, Ohio, witnessed a 20-acre field light up as if it were daylight. He observed two other lights, described as orbs the size of baseballs, roaming the field about three feet from the ground. These orbs were not identified as quad runners. The main light had a pinkish tone. The landowner, a friend of the witness, was queried by a sheriff deputy and confirmed he had not illuminated the field. The witness checked the field for footprints or tire tracks but found none. The event lasted approximately 10 minutes, after which the orbs moved out of view and the main light shut off. The farmer was not frightened at the time but wished he had looked up to see the source of the main light.
