Cow Mutilation Near El Rito?

The lead article details an investigation into a cattle mutilation case near El Rito, New Mexico, on April 10, 1994. The primary witness, using the fictitious name Dave Sanchez, reported finding a cow that had likely died no more than a week prior. NM MUFON members Peter Limone, Dan De Mar, and the author, Chris Board, along with fellow member Sergio Montoya, visited the site in Carson National Forest. The cow was found lying on its side with its stomach exposed. Significant flesh removal was noted from the jaw/neck area, with a large hole in the chest and a smaller hole near the anal section. Blood was visible in the chest cavity. The eye was missing, and one ear appeared to be ripped.

During a primitive dissection, Dan De Mar discovered a small fetus inside the cow, suggesting the mother died during the final stages of pregnancy. A small, pea-sized hole was found on the topside of the calf, suspected to be from a bullet. The anal region of the mother cow had a large hole, which was suspected to be from predator action. The investigation was hampered by weather, including rain and snow, and the strong odor of the carcass. Tissue samples were taken for analysis to determine the type of instrument used in the mutilation. The author notes that this particular case has many possible solutions.

Karl Flock Addresses NM MUFON

Researcher Karl Flock addressed a large audience at the NM MUFON meeting on April 21, 1994. Flock, a former CIA Intelligence officer and Congressional staff assistant, shared his extensive background in UFO research. He emphasized that UFOs are real and have been present throughout history, masking their identity with a secret agenda, and have increased in number since 1947. He believes the Corona ('Roswell') case is overburdened with hype and misinformation.

Flock discussed a 'revisionist' version of the Roswell crash, suggesting it occurred on July 4th during a thunderstorm. He also detailed his research into Project Mogul, a highly secret government project from the mid-to-late 1940s that involved high-altitude balloons to study atmospheric sound channels and potentially detect Russian nuclear testing. He noted similarities between materials used in Project Mogul and those found at the Roswell debris field. Flock believes that while a Project Mogul experiment crashing is a possibility, the presence of bodies remains a significant factor.

He also commented on the GAO investigation into UFOs, stating it was 'going very well.' Regarding MJ-12 documents, he deemed them of 'unverifiable provenance' and likely a hoax. He does not believe there is a secret government UFO project but acknowledges that national security concerns are always monitored.

Randle and Schmitt Debut New Book in Roswell

This article recounts a trip to Roswell, New Mexico, on March 26, 1994, to attend the debut of a new book by authors Kevin Randle and Donald Schmitt. The authors visited the Outa Limits UFO Enigma Museum and later attended a press conference at The International UFO Museum. Glenn Dennis, the Roswell mortician from 1947, was also present. Questions were raised about the changing crash date and the identity of a nurse from the airfield hospital. Phillip Klass, a UFO debunker, was also present and interacted with Kevin Randle.

He believes that this intelligence may be communicating through metaphor and parable, with encounters like alien repairs or crashed saucers serving as allusions to problems with civilization and the environment.
