State Meeting

1993 NH MUFON Conference

Details are provided for the third annual UFO Conference, scheduled to take place on September 12, 1993, at the Yokens Convention Center in Portsmouth, NH. The conference has a limited attendance of 450 people, and early registration is advised. The event will feature speakers such as Colin Andrews, Richard Hoagland, Linda Moulton Howe, David Jacobs Ph.D., and John E. Mack M.D. The conference will cover topics including crop circles, monuments of Mars, cattle mutilations, alien contact, abduction research, and the spiritual aspects of abductions. An optional reception is also scheduled for the evening of September 11, 1993.

Crop Circle Research

New Hampshire MUFON is collaborating with Colin Andrews on scientific research of crop circles in 1993. Colin Andrews, an electrical engineer and crop circle researcher, has been actively investigating and will provide an update during the September conference. The newsletter mentions a story from 'UFO Encounters, Vol. 1 No. 7' about a German crop marking with alleged antique metal plates.

CSETI Lecture and Workshop

Page 2 features an announcement for a lecture and workshop titled 'Close Encounters of the 5th Kind: Creating a Peaceful Relationship with Extraterrestrial Intelligence,' presented by Steven M. Greer, M.D., Director of CSETI. The lecture is scheduled for Friday, June 18, 1993, at the University of New Hampshire in Durham. The workshop is on Saturday, June 19, 1993, at the Moose Lodge in Portsmouth. Dr. Greer's presentation will focus on human-initiated interactions with UFOs/ETI, using powerful lights and lasers for signaling, and exploring a new approach to UFO research that embraces interaction for a peaceful, diplomatic relationship. An optional night field demonstration using CE-5 techniques is also offered for those interested in joining a CSETI research team.

Speaker Biographies

Pages 4 and 5 provide detailed biographies of the speakers for the NH MUFON UFO Conference:

• Colin Andrews: An Electrical Engineer, recognized for his research on crop circles, co-author of 'Circular Evidence' and 'Crop Circles-The Latest Evidence.' He was instrumental in 'Operation Blackbird' and maintains a large crop circle database.
• Richard C. Hoagland: Has a background in science and space programs, consulted for NBC and CBS, and advised Walter Cronkite. He is the co-conceiver of mankind's first interstellar message and has researched the monuments of Mars, detailed in his book 'The Monuments of Mars: A City on the Edge of Forever.'
• Linda Moulton Howe: A three-time Emmy Award-winning documentary producer and author. Her work includes films on animal mutilation mysteries and UFOs. • John E. Mack M.D.: Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He has explored human consciousness and the UFO abduction phenomenon, with his experiences influencing the CBS-TV Mini Series 'Intruders.' He will address the conference on the spirituality of abductions.

Conference Registration Details

Page 3 and 6 contain registration forms and important notes for the NH MUFON UFO Conference. Early registration (prior to August 20) is $45.00, and registration after August 20 or at the door is $65.00. The fee includes a hot lunch. The reception on September 11 costs an additional $5.00. Safety considerations have led to a limit of 425 attendees for this year's event, with over 1,000 people having requested information.
