UFO News in St Louis

Debbie Ziegelmeyer, Missouri MUFON State Director, reports a busy May with 12 reported CMS sightings, 9 of which were in the Kansas City area. She also extends condolences to Joplin, Missouri, following a devastating tornado. The St. Louis Wednesday meeting in May featured abductee Ray Kosulandich, who shared his experiences since age twelve and information from his abductors about future events. The meeting also discussed comet Elenin C/2010 X1, discovered by Leonid Elenin, which was projected to be 170 million miles from Earth by May 4th, with its closest approach on October 16, 2011. The progress of this comet is being followed on the EXONEWS website. Astronomers John Matese and Daniel Whitmire's theory about 'Teche,' a hypothetical ninth planet in the Oort cloud that may be bouncing asteroids towards Earth, was also discussed. The May St. Louis meeting set a record with 31 attendees, including 5 new faces, and a 4-hour audience participation discussion. Monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday at Culpeppers Restaurant in Creve Coeur, free to the public. Upcoming speakers for 2011 include Joe Palermo in June (paranormal/ghost experiences) and Jason Cordova in July and August (Crypto Science Society).

UFO Reports in KC in May

Margie Kay, Assistant State Director, details an unusually high number of UFO reports in the Kansas City area during May 2011, with 23 sightings reported between May 7-21. This contrasts sharply with the usual average of six reports per month for the entire state. Reports came through the official MUFON website and directly to her. Witness accounts included large orange crafts, metallic crafts, grey crafts, and white crafts, as well as numerous reports of anomalous lights. Notably, three abduction experiences involving missing time were reported in Liberty, Lee's Summit, and Independence, all involving women. Kay also shares her personal experience of photographing a possible UFO on May 7th while traveling from St. Louis to Kansas City. The article mentions that from May 8-14, multiple witnesses reported seeing fully armed Apache Helicopters flying over the Lee's Summit and Blue Springs areas, with some claiming to see them landing and taking off from the local airport, despite denials from Whiteman AFB. Photographic evidence, including witness drawings and photos from a news broadcast, was collected.

UFO Flap in Kansas City, Missouri

Assistant State Director Margie Kay received reports of UFOs, orange orbs, and an entity. A press release from Missouri MUFON details sightings on May 14-15, including a 7-year-old's report of a large, round orange UFO. Witnesses reported approximately 125 orange balls of light moving rapidly. One witness saw a lighted craft with a large bright circular white light. Another reported a huge disc-shaped UFO on May 15. The article also notes that two witnesses saw Apache Helicopters landing and taking off from the Lee's Summit Regional airport. “CAAW” UFO Revival, Commemorating the 1973 UFO Flap

This section announces a unique event, the 'CAAW' (Cultural Arts Alliance, Wayne Ozark Region, Inc.) UFO Revival, held on June 17-18, 2011, at the Patterson Community Center in Patterson, MO. The event commemorates the 1973 UFO Flap and features a variety of speakers and activities. Speakers include Denny Hovis (historical recap of the flap), Mark Rutledge (son of UFO Flap author Dr. Harley Rutledge), Earl Mullins (science demos), Lowell Grissom (brother of astronaut Gus Grissom), Paul Vance (NASA space suit inventor), Ken Storch (UFO Researcher), Debbie Ziegelmeyer (Missouri Sightings), and Margie Kay (Inter-dimensional Missouri).
