MUFON UFO SYMPOSIUM

REPEAT OF '75?

FIELD INVESTIGATOR TRAINING SESSION PLANNED
A training session for new field investigator trainees is planned for the June meeting, after the refreshment break. Attendees should have a MUFON Field Investigator's Manual, which can be obtained from MUFON Hdqtrs. in Seguin, TX, for $7.50.
CLEAR INTENT - Update
Prentice-Hall has announced that the book 'Clear Intent,' by Barry J. Greenwood and Lawrence Fawcett, will be in warehouses on June 15 and in bookstores on June 30. The publisher reports unprecedented interest. Fred Whiting of the Fund for UFO Research calls it 'the best-written UFO book ever published.' Attorney Bob Bletchman also reviewed it positively for the MUFON Journal. The Fund for UFO Research is supporting the book and is working with Prentice-Hall to hold a press conference on July 15 at the Pentagon bookstore in Washington, D.C., with authors present. A package deal for $20, including the book and supporting documents, will be offered. The authors are scheduled for a national publicity tour in July, with appearances on 'Good Morning, America,' 'The Merv Griffin Show,' and other programs in New York, Washington D.C., and California. Mass. MUFON salutes Barry Greenwood for his contribution to the serious scientific acceptance of the UFO subject.
NEW BOOK OFFERED BY CONGRESSIONAL RESEARCH SERVICE
A revised edition of 'The UFO Enigma' by Marcia Smith is being offered free of charge by the Congressional Research Service. It can be obtained by writing to your U.S. Congressman and requesting Report 83-205SPR.
UFO DISPLAY COMPLETED
The Mass. MUFON UFO Display, consisting of four 3'x4' panels with materials on both sides, is complete. It covers topics such as types of sightings, Mass. MUFON, UFO photos, Government Documents, UFO History, Investigative Forms, and Close Encounters. It will be exhibited at the August Forum, and color slides may be shown at the May or June meetings.
