Upcoming Events

Excursions:

• March 14, 2015 (Saturday): An excursion to Sedlčansko for the public, organized by the Regional Museum in Jílové u Prahy. Participants will travel by personal cars from Jílové u Prahy. Inquiries can be made to Mgr. Jana Stachura or via email at [email protected].
• March 15, 2015 (Sunday): An excursion for students of Gymnázium Botičská, focusing on the southern part of Sedlčansko. The route includes the Petrovicko educational trail, Husova kazatelna, and parts of the Týnčanský kras. Travel is by public bus from Prague (Na Knížecí) to Obděnice. Interested individuals can join the students or explore independently. Contact [email protected] for details.

Lectures:

• March 3, 2015 (Tuesday) at 17:00: A lecture titled "Hory Černé Hory" (Mountains of Montenegro) at the Reading Room of the Municipal Library in Česká Lípa. The lecture will cover the highest mountains of Durmitor and Prokletije.
• March 12, 2015 (Thursday) at 17:00: A discussion about the book "Kameny a skály Sedlčanska" (Stones and Rocks of Sedlčansko) at Café Barrande (Ježkova 8, Prague 3). This event is for geologists and like-minded individuals. More information is available at http://www.geology.cz/cafe-barrande.

Nature and Menhir Trip:

• March 18-22, 2015: A trip exploring nature and menhirs. The plan includes:
• March 18 (Wednesday): Departure from Prague Smíchov by bus to Volary, with a tour of the town and a stone circle. Visit to Boubínský prales, Boubín observation tower, and Milešický prales. Approximately 16 km on foot.
• March 19 (Thursday): Travel from Volary to Jankov/Holašovice. Visit to the UNESCO-listed village of Holašovice and its stone circle. Approximately 3 km on foot.
• March 20 (Friday): Travel from Holašovice to Zlatá Koruna. Walk along the Vltava River to the Gabreta stone circle. Approximately 12 km on foot.
• March 21 (Saturday): From Zlatá Koruna, hike to the highest peak of Blanský les, Kleť, with an observation tower and a pub. Evening entertainment is planned. Approximately 12 km on foot. Day visitors can depart afterwards.
• March 22 (Sunday): Return travel to Prague by train or bus. Participants are encouraged to share information about local restaurants. The trip also allows for optional visits to Český Krumlov or České Budějovice.

Online Activities

• Wednesday Skype Conferences: Regular Czech-Slovak conference calls on mysteries every Wednesday at 20:00. Skype names: "gallaa6", "stofik63". Participants should prepare questions.
