KPUFO Megalit

A seminar of the Megalit section was held on July 18, 2009, in Kounov. The program focused on evaluating efforts to promote and protect megalithic monuments, especially those around the Kounovské kamenné řady (Kounov Stone Rows). Despite positive progress, the status of the forest containing these rows could not be changed from a forestry to a special purpose forest, leaving them vulnerable to logging. Future efforts will focus on this issue and on connecting efforts for other stone rows and monuments in the vicinity. The municipality of Kounov is seeking protection for the Špičák locality. Following the defense of a diploma thesis on the alignment of the rows, protection will be sought for additional sites. A trail project on Klučka is also being prepared.

KPUFO Agrosymbol

Readers who visited agrosymbol sites during the summer are encouraged to submit reports.

Ze života (From Life)

This section invites readers to share photos and interesting details about places they visited during the summer. It also announces the creation of a new discussion forum on Facebook for the group "Česká záhadologie a ufologie" (Czech Cryptozoology and Ufology) and promotes the existing forum on kpufo.eu. A call is made for contributors to a specialized website about the Voynich Manuscript, given its roots in the Czech Republic. KPUFO is involved in preparing a book about inventions, technologies, and knowledge that predate their time, such as the Antikythera mechanism and ancient electricity.
