Magazine Overview

This document is the April 1994 (Issue 2) newsletter from IUFOPRA, The Irish UFO and Paranormal Research Association. It is a four-page newsletter providing updates and information for its members.

Committee Status

The newsletter lists the current members of the Executive Council: Patrick Delaney (ACI/Director), Anne Griffin (ACI/Director), Ms. Jenny Randles (Director/DOI), and Karl Morris (Director/PRO). The Committee members are Aongus De Barra (Assist; PRO), Tom Gardiner (Astro Advisor), John Price (NI. R.O.), and Barbara O'Hara (CM).

Mobile Phone

Arrangements regarding mobile phones remain as stated in the March issue of the newsletter.

World News Update

On March 29th, 1994, the Sky One TV Programme "Unsolved Mysteries" featured a 20-minute segment on triangular shaped objects observed over Belgium and its surrounding countries on November 29th, 1989. Two members of the Belgium Police Force, who witnessed the UFOs, were interviewed. Further details are promised for Issue No 5 of the IUFOPRA JOURNAL.

Movies

A new movie about "Roswell" is currently in production, directed by Steven Spielberg, and is scheduled for release in 1997, coinciding with the 50th Anniversary of the Roswell Incident.

Gentle Reminder

Members are reminded of the next Committee Meeting scheduled for May 30th, 1994. Members whose subscriptions are due are urged to forward them as soon as possible, noting that the Annual Subscription has been reduced to £12 per annum. Members are also requested to notify the association immediately of any change of address.

Members are invited to submit comments or suggestions regarding Ufology or the Paranormal to the newsletter.

Consultation Facility

Starting June 22nd, 1994, and continuing on the fourth Wednesday of each month, an IUFOPRA Representative will be available at the Foyer of the Skylon Hotel, Drumcondra, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. This facility is for anyone wishing to become a member or to confidentially report a UFO or Paranormal Experience. The representative will be wearing an ID Badge. For those outside the Dublin area, written correspondence can be sent to the IUFOPRA Box Number.

Congratulations

IUFOPRA congratulates Malcolm Robinson of S.P.I. Scotland on becoming a BUFORA Investigator for his region, wishing him well with his sightings of both UFOs and ghosts.

IUFOPRA JOURNAL ISSUE 5 PREVIEW

Issue 5 of the IUFOPRA JOURNAL will feature articles on "The Bermuda Triangle" & "Flight 19", "Contactees Versus Alien Intelligence", and "Determinism & Ufology".

Director's Comments

Patrick Delaney, ACI/Director, notes that some members have changed their addresses without informing the association. Members are urged to advise of any changes of address as soon as possible to ensure continued receipt of the IUFOPRA Journal, Newsletter, and other correspondence.
