Witness Reports

Nahariya, February 28, 2005

Gil, a 34-year-old man, reported an observation at 23:00 near the sea. His wife first observed three lighted objects, with a connection between two described as "flame like." This lasted about 5 seconds. Afterward, a large, bright yellow light, as big as the sun in daylight, turned off and disappeared in a second. The object was seen in the west, with a slight turn to the south, estimated to be at a height of 700-800 meters. Gil stated he had to raise his head to observe it and that his wife estimated the objects moved. He found the experience unusual and not understood, unlike light bombs he was familiar with.

Beer-Sheba, March 20, 2005

Eliyahoo Roizman reported seeing a hovering light above the air-force museum around 20:30. He observed it for 15-18 minutes. The object had the shape of three yellow lights blinking in the same place. It moved slightly left and right before making a jump in tremendous speed to the south. It was described as triangle-shaped and not high, estimated at about 300-400 meters.

Ma'alot, March 20, 2005

Tel-Aviv, March 22, 2005 (Report 1)

Shimon Rosenberg reported going outside at about 18:34 and observing something lower than the stars, moving slowly with colored lights. He noted three lights. Using a Tasco telescope (50x45x15), he saw the object had three stable lights of white, green, and orange. It moved towards him in slow circles, and he observed it for about 10 minutes. At one point, a red light seemed more distant, and when the object came closer, the white light appeared to turn red. He noted the object seemed to turn and rotate around itself, and its appearance changed, sometimes showing two lights, sometimes one, and sometimes three, and occasionally four lights. At 18:50, he went inside to get his camera, but upon returning, the lights were gone. No sound was heard. His son also witnessed the event.

Tel-Aviv, March 22, 2005 (Report 2)

Luiz Cann, 24 years old and soloist of the "Three Poison" band, reported seeing a UFO around 23:00 in the Rothschild – Nahlat-Beniamin area. She described seeing a round spherical object, colored white, moving towards the earth. She stated she recognizes meteors but this was different. The UFO had no trail, was relatively big, and seemed to fly relatively low. It disappeared in the air as if it turned off. The observation lasted about 3 seconds.

Ha'arava, March 25, 2005

Baruch Eshkenazi took his granddaughter on a jeep trip. In the evening, near "Ein Yahav" at the end of the "Perfume Road," he took landscape photos southward with his digital camera. After developing the photos, he found something unusual: in two of the photos, there were two UFO reflections, described as round with a dome. One was red and the other was blue. The report suggests these might be sun reflections on a stone background and that the photos would be located on their website.

Tel-Aviv, March 23, 2005

Shimon Shazian reported seeing a cigar-shaped object moving from the sea direction towards Shalom-Tower, north of the regular airplane path. Its silver color was emphasized against the city lights. It had a white light on its upper part and a red light in its second third part. It moved slightly faster than landing airplanes and was smaller than a Boeing airplane. There were no landing lights, and no sound was heard. About 1 km behind the object, an airplane arrived with its usual lights. The sighting lasted for about 1 minute.

Ashdod, March 31, 2005

Assaf Barr, whose UFO photos were published in a previous journal issue, reported that the UFO was seen again. The event happened around 17:00. Assaf had a premonition that it would appear again. He reported that it happened when he looked out the window, as he usually does when meditating. It occurred in daylight and was the "exact thing" he saw before, describing it as an amazing view. After he went out to observe it, it disappeared. He called his sister to bring his camera, but it turned out there was no film in it.

Recurring Themes and Editorial Stance

The recurring theme throughout this issue is the reporting of eyewitness accounts of unidentified aerial phenomena in Israel. The journal appears to serve as a platform for documenting and disseminating these sightings, presenting them without overt skepticism or sensationalism, allowing the witness testimonies to speak for themselves. The editorial stance seems to be one of serious consideration and archival of such reports, indicated by the detailed nature of the accounts and the inclusion of dates, locations, and specific descriptions of the objects and their behavior. The inclusion of photographic evidence (or lack thereof, as in Assaf Barr's case) and the mention of future website publication suggest a commitment to documenting the phenomenon.
