NUFOC National Meeting 1978

The newsletter announces the NUFOC National Meeting to be held on September 16-17, 1978, at Valstadbriten Fritidssenter in Skjetten/Lillestrøm. The program includes an opening, an introduction to the meeting, discussions on identification cards for field researchers, current NUFOC routines, an orientation on Nordic UFO Groups, and updates from department and section leaders. A significant portion of the second day (Sunday, September 17) is dedicated to "SAMARBEIDET MED SEMIC" (Cooperation with SEMIC).

Representatives from SEMIC are expected to attend, and the entire day is anticipated to be focused on this important matter. NUFOC's advertisement was included in SEMIC's "materieside" as part of their collaboration. Another upcoming album, "UF O", will also feature a full-page dedicated to NUFOC.

Discussions regarding cooperation with SEMIC are ongoing, and the plan is expected to be finalized by the time of the national meeting.

Address Change and Reporting

Feltforaker Lars Ståle Flåta has reported a change of address to 3630 Rodberg. It is expected that he will automatically transfer from NUFOC VEST to NUFOC ØST, and relevant departments are asked to note this.

A section titled "KORT MELDING OM OBS NUFOC INTERNT" (Short Report on Observation NUFOC Internal) presents a form for reporting UFO observations. This form is intended to facilitate the quickest possible dissemination of information about new UFO events in the country among NUFOC leaders. It asks for details such as location, date, type of observation (daylight, night, radar, visual, close encounter), physical effects, witnesses, observation time, distance, and whether the case has been mentioned in the press. It also inquires about who is investigating the case and what has been done so far. The form is to be filled out by anyone who becomes aware of a case in their geographical area and sent as copies to other departments and sections. The proposed form will be discussed and possibly improved at the national meeting.
