Magazine Overview
This document is an informational bulletin from the KLUB PSYCHOTRONIKY A UFO KPUFO.SK/EU – Slovenská republika (Club of Psychotronics and UFO KPUFO.SK/EU – Slovak Republic), issue number 4/2010, dated August 15, 2010. The main cover headline is "Návrh na vytvorenie Slovenskej rady pre anomálne javy" (Proposal for the creation of a Slovak council for anomalous phenomena).
Návrh na vytvorenie Slovenskej rady pre anomálne javy (Proposal for the creation of a Slovak council for anomalous phenomena)
The author expresses a desire to establish a Slovak council for anomalous phenomena, noting that previous attempts in Slovakia have failed due to intolerance and disputes over competencies. The author hoped that the situation had improved and that external initiatives might help overcome existing rifts. However, the proposal was met with resistance, with some viewing it as an attempt to create a new, hierarchical organization rather than a discussion group focused on conceptual problems and international relations.
The proposal, intended to elevate the Slovak research community, instead revealed its underlying problems: narrow, local thinking, attempts at hegemony by one group over another, and personal attacks against the author and KPUFO.EU/SK, including accusations of being Czech rather than Slovak, and that Slovak ufology does not need "Czech guardianship." KPUFO is also labeled an untrustworthy organization that steals content. The core of the proposal itself has reportedly not been discussed.
The bulletin states that this problem of fragmentation is universal among researchers worldwide, stemming from ego, jealousy, intolerance among leaders of various research centers and associations, attempts to monopolize the information market, and the imposition of individual viewpoints.
This fragmentation leaves the Slovak research community on shaky ground, dependent on personal relationships that can easily turn sour. For KPUFO.EU/SK, this means that forming separate associations with memberships is outdated. The focus should be on ideological membership and affiliation with different schools of thought, which KPUFO provides by offering a broad spectrum of interests united by seriousness and a focus on concrete research activities. KPUFO does not compel anyone to join or leave other organizations or to adopt specific views.
The "Programmatic Declaration" of KPUFO outlines its areas of activity, promising support for anything that fulfills its goals, including fostering broad discussion on all issues. The bulletin criticizes Slovak ufology for being trapped in outdated theories and uncritical, repetitive nonsense, attributing this to a closed and stagnant environment.
Slovenská záhadológia (Slovak Ufology)
This section emphasizes the need to focus on those who are actively doing research rather than those who merely claim to be "ufologists." It invites anyone interested in learning to work with new methods, understand UFO cases, and evaluate their significance to join the "Slovenska zahadologia" (Slovak Ufology) platform.
To participate, individuals are asked to register on Google at http://www.google.sk/ and then navigate to "WEBY" (Websites) and click "Zaregistrovať sa do služby Weby" (Register for the Websites service). The author offers assistance if any problems arise, noting that dozens of UFO cases are already prepared for visitors.
Agrosymboly (Agro Symbols)
This section addresses the perceived backwardness of agro symbol research in Slovakia. The author notes that many people still believe in outdated criteria for authenticating agro symbols, unaware that these criteria are obsolete and that many symbols can be faked with minimal effort, leaving the field open to manipulation.
Researchers lack reliable tools beyond their conviction to distinguish genuine pictograms from fakes. They operate with numerous data points but lack solid supporting evidence.
A Google Maps image is included, showing various locations in Slovakia and surrounding countries, presumably related to agro symbol sightings.
The bulletin mentions that KPUFO is consolidating all available data on Czech, and also foreign, agro symbols, including Slovak findings. Thanks to several colleagues, the pages with an overview of Slovak agro symbols have been updated and made accessible. The URL provided is http://www.kpufo.cz/oblasti/agr/cc/cc cizi/tab sr.htm. These pages were temporarily updated by colleagues in both Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
This update became a pretext for attacks from Mr. W. Urmínský of AUFOB. Despite explanations that the visibility was temporary and for technological reasons, these were ignored, and the incident was used to fuel hostility against KPUFO. As a result, the overview of Slovak crop circles, which was intended for the public, will henceforth only be accessible to KPUFO researchers and those who behave correctly. Given these experiences, this decision is understandable.
Novinky (News)
KPUFO plans to redesign its portal to improve its appearance and, following other successful methods, to revitalize and update its materials more frequently. The plan is to publish a weekly overview of internet news and new material every 3-5 days.
