The newsletter covers various topics related to UFO research, including speaker presentations, investigations into alleged UFO incidents, and discussions on related subjects like ancient mysteries and health remedies.
November Meeting Highlights
The newsletter reports on the November meeting which featured three speakers. Cecilia Van Manen spoke about her trip to Lillydale, N.Y., where speakers discussed UFOs. Howard Metz presented on topics including pyramid structures, sacred geometry, crystal technology, ET life, NASA tapes, and esoteric belief systems. George Dickson covered interdimensional travel, missing time, anti-gravity propulsion, crash retrievals, abductions, aliens, past civilizations, Atlantis, Lemuria, and crop circles. The discussion also touched upon the healing powers of Essiac, a controversial herbal remedy.
March Meeting and Speaker Presentations
The March meeting included guest speakers. Henry Romanburg spoke about his recent trip to Argentina, noting that UFO subjects are given more credence in Latin America than in North America. He shared historical accounts of UFO sightings in Argentina dating back to 1580 and 1631, as well as more recent reports from Chile and Peru. George Prince spoke on the Aetherial Society, the Urantia book, world evacuation, the Ashtar group, and meditation. Scott Jordon and Tom Theofanous discussed books, analyzing people and motives, the difficulty of proving abduction phenomena, and the work of the Stratetic Research Institute studying remote viewing at Princeton University.
UFO Incidents and Investigations
The newsletter details several UFO-related incidents and investigations:
- Argentina: Historical accounts from 1580 and 1631 describe luminous, shiny objects emerging from water and the jungle.
- Peru (July 1952): A customs employee photographed a UFO that landed, took soil, and left a large crater.
- Chile (June 1965): A naval detachment observed an object that zig-zagged.
- United Kingdom (July 1965): A British ship saw a reddish object that remained immobile over a British base, part of a 1965 wave of sightings.
- Travis Walton Abduction (1975): The newsletter mentions the 1975 abduction of Travis Walton in Snowflake, Arizona, which inspired the movie 'Fire In The Sky'.
- Henry MacKay's Investigation (September 1976): MacKay investigated a landing site, finding flattened grass in a circular pattern with depressions.
- Brazil (May 1986): Military aircraft reportedly challenged 21 UFOs over Brazilian airspace.

Earth-Mars Connection: Cydonia and Avebury/Silbury
A significant portion of the newsletter is dedicated to the investigation into a potential connection between the Cydonia region on Mars and ancient Earth sites like Avebury Circle and Silbury Hill in England. Richard Hoagland's research suggests a point-by-point reproduction of the Cydonia complex in England. David Myers and Percy conducted a field expedition in December 1991 to investigate this hypothesis, finding strong substantiation. The article notes that the scale of the English structures is approximately seven percent of the Martian structures.
Essiac: A Controversial Herbal Remedy
An article from the K-W Record newspaper, dated January 7, 1993, discusses the distribution of 'real' Essiac, a controversial herbal drink. David Dobbie, who owns the rights to the original formula, decided to make it more widely available due to competition. Essiac, originally made by native Canadians and popularized by nurse Rene Caisse, is believed by some to help cancer patients. However, the federal government considers it an unproven and ineffective cancer treatment, only authorizing its release on compassionate grounds.

This document is an excerpt from a publication by 'The Mars Mission,' likely a journal or magazine focused on ufology, ancient mysteries, and space exploration, specifically concerning the Cydonia region on Mars. The issue date is December 1991, and the primary article is titled "Stonehenge, Great Pyramid, and Teotihuacan: Coincidence Squared?" authored by Carl P. Munck.
Article: Stonehenge, Great Pyramid, and Teotihuacan: Coincidence Squared?
Carl P. Munck challenges the prevailing view of ancient ancestors as 'ignorant semi-savages.' He argues that the construction of numerous pyramids, mounds, and geometric earthworks worldwide, including Stonehenge, indicates a sophisticated understanding of mathematics and astronomy that modern scholars have failed to fully explain.
Munck uses Stonehenge as a primary example, questioning the dismissal of its builders' knowledge. He highlights the precise mathematical relationships within Stonehenge's structure, such as the multiplication of its perimeter stones (60) and central horseshoe stones (15) to yield 21,600, a number divisible by 51 and 10, which corresponds to a specific latitude (51° 10' 42.35294118") passing through Stonehenge's center. He labels this 'Coincidence No. 1.'
Further mathematical analysis of Stonehenge's diameter and radius is presented, linking it to the square root of 60 and double-π, resulting in a figure (48.66934411) that matches the radius in feet. This is termed 'Coincidence No. 3.' Munck also notes that the number of upright stones (40) and lintels (35) at Stonehenge, when used in calculations, yields figures that align with other ancient sites.
The article then broadens its scope to include the Great Pyramid of Egypt and Teotihuacan in Mexico. Munck suggests that the Great Pyramid's original height (around 480 feet) can be derived from the Stonehenge radius figure multiplied by π². He also explores the grid longitude and latitude of Teotihuacan's Sun Pyramid, finding numerical echoes of the Stonehenge calculations, particularly the figure 48.66934411, which he calls 'Coincidence No. 5' and 'Coincidence No. 6.'
Munck posits that these numerical and geometric correlations are not mere accidents but evidence of a sophisticated, possibly global, grid system used by ancient builders. He suggests that these ancient cultures possessed a shared understanding of mathematics and metrology, possibly using a 12-inch foot unit.
The article also touches upon the 'Avebury/Silbury' complex in England, which is presented as a potential terrestrial analog to Martian features in Cydonia. Investigators Percy and Myers are mentioned as having found terrestrial features that correspond to Martian landmarks like the 'Cliff,' the 'Tetrahedral Pyramid,' the 'D&M Pyramid,' the 'City,' and the 'Face.' The article suggests that crop glyphs may have been used to guide researchers to these specific locations in England, implying an unknown intelligence at work.
Munck concludes by questioning the dismissal of these findings as 'pseudo-science,' urging skeptics to investigate the data themselves and suggesting that NASA re-image Cydonia to test the correlations. He implies that these ancient structures were not just religious or astronomical tools but part of a larger, interconnected system of knowledge that links Earth and Mars.
Recurring Themes and Editorial Stance
The recurring themes in this document are the advanced knowledge of ancient civilizations, the mathematical and astronomical precision of their constructions, and the potential connection between Earth and Mars. The editorial stance of 'The Mars Mission' appears to be one that supports unconventional theories regarding ancient history, extraterrestrial influence, and the exploration of anomalies on Mars, particularly the Cydonia region. The publication encourages critical thinking and independent investigation, challenging mainstream archaeological and scientific consensus.
Title: Martian Horizons
Issue: Vol. 1, No. 3
Date: Winter 1992
Publisher: The Mars Mission
This issue of Martian Horizons, the quarterly journal of The Mars Mission, focuses on the potential connections between Mars, ancient Earth sites, and geometric principles. It features an in-depth article questioning NASA's plans for the Mars Observer probe's imaging of the Cydonia region, alongside discussions on ancient mathematics, geometry, and the possibility of extraterrestrial intelligence.
Article: Mars Observer: It's All Up to Malin
The lead article addresses the controversy surrounding NASA's Mars Observer mission and its plans for imaging the Cydonia region. The Mars Mission (TMM) and its members have sought clarification from NASA project manager David D. Evans and Congressman George E. Brown regarding the reimaging of Cydonia. TMM's letters point out discrepancies between statements made by Congress, which indicated an intention to reimage anomalous objects, and NASA's position, which suggested no change in plans since 1985 and no specific plans for Cydonia.
Neither Evans nor Brown responded to TMM's letters. However, a response was obtained from Michael Malin, the principal investigator for the Mars Observer cameras, who stated that the camera would attempt to acquire images of areas of interest if possible. Malin used cautious wording, attributing this to the mission's nature and camera capabilities rather than politics. He reiterated that he does not subscribe to the contention that features in Cydonia are artificial, based on his 20 years of experience interpreting spacecraft photographs and field work. Malin also emphasized that there is no conspiracy at NASA to hide results and that NASA cannot predicate mission objectives on the speculative likelihood of past Martian habitation.
Malin stated that photos would be made public after a six to nine-month period for validation and analysis. The article expresses surprise that Malin, while denying belief in artificial features, is willing to test conclusions based on new data. It also raises concerns about Malin's statement that the choice of areas to photograph is solely his decision, questioning the democratic control over NASA's mission and the use of taxpayer money. The delay in making Mars Observer photos public, contrasting with NASA's historical policy of near-instantaneous dissemination, is also noted as a concern.
The article concludes by urging TMM members to consider the implications of Malin's statements and to write to their congressmen and NASA officials.
Article: The Solar System a giant crystal?
This section explores the concept of the Solar System as a giant crystal, linked to a Light Grid System and a 3D-4D-5D schematic encompassing various sciences, including physics, paraphysics, quantum mechanics, ancient monuments, and linear measure light systems. It references books by Ralston Skinner, Conners, and Tibetan artifactual records.
The article discusses geometric connections, particularly the role of the tetrahedron, octahedron, cube, and dodecahedron, in crop circles and a larger geometric system that forms a fractal system in space, connecting to the creation and function of the solar system. It posits that interacting fractal energies create the states of matter (Solid, Liquid, Gas, Plasma) and that planetary configurations reflect a crystal focus of Light attunement, enabling travel within an electromagnetic spectrum.
Grid Light systems are found on Earth (stones, pyramids) and underwater, as well as in terrestrial, aerial, and outer space environments. The text suggests a connection to the Kings Chamber's Messianic 100 Stone and the Great Pyramid's morphology, relating it to other planets and consciousness. The concept of 'thoughts are things substance' and etheric aura levels are also mentioned.
The inhabitants of a past millennium are described as having utilized fractal knowledge and energy to create a natural law expression for cosmic identity and free energy. The article posits that Martian intelligence had the ability to travel faster than light, collapsing time and comprehending fractal geometric codes. It suggests that ancient Earth structures and measures reflect this understanding, dealing with the internal portions of BODY-MIND-AURA and energies proceeding through the electromagnetic spectrum.
The text further elaborates on the tetrahedral configuration found in Teo Pyramids in Mexico, linking it to light, sound, music, and linear exchange from ancient measures, including the Harmonic Ancient Cubit and the Sacred Cubit. It explains that the height of the Great Pyramid relates to PI, suggesting a connection to Earth's movement, planetary rotation, and solar system dynamics. The article notes that PI computation is ongoing, with billions of digits calculated.
It concludes by stating that these concepts include a light wave concept and orbital relationships with ancient structures that reflect Earth commensurate sciences, dealing with the internal aspects of BODY-MIND-AURA and energies within the electromagnetic spectrum. These are also found in other planets like Saturn, Jupiter, and Venus, with possible environmental studies at specific latitudes.

This document is a newsletter titled "THINGS TO PONDER", presented as a continuation (cont:) of a series, likely from the INST. of PYRAMIDOLOGY-PRIVATE FOUNDATION, authored by Howard J. Metz. The issue date is May 1977, with the content focusing on pyramidology, extraterrestrial theories, and spiritual consciousness.
The Great Pyramid and Earth Energy Grids
The newsletter posits that the Great Pyramid, in conjunction with the earth's energy grid system, forms an ICOS or ICOSAHEDRAN GRID. This structure is described as a monolithic system of interlocking TET's or TETRAHEDRALS, representing the true reciprocals of light. According to Hiertak's "KEYS OF ENOCH", the Great Pyramid aligns with the constellation Orion, acting as a point that retrieves energy grid movements from their origins. The energy is conceptualized as a light continuum across universes. The text also references Egyptian versions of star areas that encompass a 'YHWH Outerspace Hierarchy' or 'HEB(REW)', signifying 'THE LORDS OF LIGHT'.
The angles of the Great Pyramid's passageways and star shafts are discussed in relation to astronomical alignments, pointing towards Alpa Draconis and Orion. These systems are interpreted as reflecting past recapitulation and future space evolution. The 'living light' on Earth is described as Mother Nature fighting environmental destruction, incorporated within 'EBEN SHETTIYAH', the foundation for living light, which aims to convert survivors into a 'Dimensional World' from three to four dimensions.
This section also touches upon the merger of TET-Four Equilateral Triangles and OCT-Eight Equilateral Triangles within monolithic ICOS-Twenty Equilateral Triangles, leading to 4th and 5th dimensional consciousness and 'Light Density Beings'. The energy systems are said to support physical and etheric changes.
Cellular, Chromosome, and Genetic Energy
The newsletter elaborates on CELLULAR, CHROMOSOME, and GENETIC ENERGY HELIAX BONDING SPIRAL SYSTEMS, which are described as evolving and involuting from outer space considerations through TET-OCT-ICOS GEOMETRICS. This includes the exchange of ideas and energy within Earth's space and extraterrestrial technology and consciousness.
The Pistis Sophia - Nag Hammadi, Egypt
A significant portion of the newsletter is dedicated to "THE PISTIS SOPHIA", early recordings of Jesus Christ found in Nag Hammadi, Egypt, interpreted into Greek and Coptic. This text is highlighted for supporting the language of Jesus and mysteries related to calling down His Higher Body of Light. It explains the 32 Chemical Building Block Universe Intelligence and concepts like 'LAK BOYMER' or 'The Logis', the Pillar of Light that enables the Christ Body of Light to inhabit the Jesus Body. The merging of these forms the 'star of David' and the 'Body of Jesus/Body of Christ', resulting in two brilliant pyramids of Light, representing a 3D existence of Light Embodiment.
The text mentions the Egyptian Pyramid Texts and the 'Eye of Horus' bringing 'true Pyramid Light'. It also references the original ENOCH(IAN) knowledge and its conditions for entrance into the Great Pyramid, relating to Masonic initiation and 32-33 level consciousness. The ancient calendars and the shift from North Polar Draconis to the Ante-Chamber and WWI (1918 AD) are seen as the end of LINEAR TIME, leading to NON-LINEAR TIME from 1918 AD through the ENOCHIAN CIRCLE. Calculations involving the circumference of the circle, Pi, and the Ante Chamber diameter are presented to illustrate this concept.
Non-Linear Time and Ancient Measures
The concept of Non-Linear Time is further explored, referencing the Book of Daniel and the Chronology of the Great Pyramid's Kings Chamber. It connects to the Gnostic Self Manifestor, various units of measurement (Inches, Feet, Yards, Cubits, Meters, Centimeters), and Noah's measures from the sinking of Atlantis. Edgar Cayce's work on Atlantis and 'The Ante Deluvian World' is mentioned, along with Ralston Skinner's "The Sources of Ancient Measures".
Hiertak's Commentary and Tibetan Artifacts
Hiertak's commentary, from an audio tape series, is cited regarding "The Keys of Enoch Series". This commentary suggests that humanity's inheritance involves biological and chemical substances, genetics, HELIAX, CHROMOSMES, and energy systems influencing amino acids and electric transmission systems. It is proposed that these systems were tampered with by 'Hierarchial space intelligence' thousands of years ago.
Furthermore, Hiertak's work, correlated with recent scientific discoveries and Tibetan artifactual records, suggests that the 'Pistis Sophia' writings of Christ indicate a correspondence between Earth and stone kingdoms like Stonehenge, and grid systems related to the Mars-Cydonia pyramid nomenclature. The mathematics dealing with Pi are also mentioned.
"Out of the Body" Paraphysics and Spiritual Journey
The newsletter defines "OUT OF THE BODY" PARAPHYSICS as a spiritual journey through an enormous space crystal, the 'Trium Stream Light Attunement', leading to the Solar Matrix or Great Pyramid purpose. This includes planet rotation, harmonics for soul passage, spiritual knowledge, and science on other planes. It discusses carbon evolution, involution, and the mystery science of the 'Pistian Sophia' recordings, referencing Hierarchal Angels, Kingdoms of Light and Darkness, Sirians, Pleidians, and Orions.
Genetic Inheritance and Spiritual Development
The text posits that genetic inheritance is related to other evolutionary and involutionary systems in space and other realms. The 'Pistis Sophia' is seen as constantly reinforcing the science of light for spiritual development, which is now becoming conceivable in science and consciousness.
Atlantis, Lemuria, and Ancient Civilizations
References are made to Atlantis (over 2000 books published) and Lemuria, suggesting vast sexual and physiological changes in earlier civilizations. The concept of a 'sole producer of an off-spring' is mentioned in relation to bisexual Lemurians. Edgar Cayce's work, 'The Biblical Ruth', and the evolution of great floods and continental changes are also noted. A library on these subjects is mentioned as existing in Virginia Beach, Va., along with Hiertak's California work and Isaac Newton's filed work in England.
Other Influences and Thought Processes
The newsletter briefly mentions Theosophy, Rudolph Steiner's Academies, Russian Science Magazines, the American Society for Psychic Research, and Hubbards' "Dianetics". It suggests that thought processes are discovered in the mind-mental consciousness, based on past experiences in this life and past lifetimes, utilizing an 'E' meter for electro-static feed balance.
Psychotronics and Nicholai Tesla
Psychotronics and Nicholai Tesla's summaries and technical knowledge are mentioned as potentially leading to a free energy society in the 1900s.
Nag Hammadi Bibliography and Pistis Sophia Contents
The Nag Hammadi Bibliography is described as a considerable accumulation of literature. The Pistis Sophia is noted to include allusions to the Old and New Testaments. Several authors and their works are recommended for consultation, including GRS MEAD, J. Moffat, W. Till, and D.M. Scholer. The British Library and the British Museum are cited as places where these writings can be found. The text details the contents of "Pistis Sophia" Book I, including chapters on the post-resurrection teaching of Jesus, His garments of Light, incarnation, ascension, and His power. Book II discusses "The First Mystery" and "The PISTIS SOPHIA" being saved by the meeting of two light powers.
Pyramid Nomenclature and Future Understanding
The author, having studied PYRAMID NOMENCLATURE for 20 years, aims to establish a springboard for international understanding of LIGHT KNOWLEDGE and WISDOM. This is intended to foster development into 'LIGHT BEING CONSCIOUSNESS' related to the coming days of chaos. The text mentions ATP and ADP energy systems, influencing chromosomes and genetic trees for detoxification, survival systems, aging, and light intensity development for advanced consciousness.
The 64 Keys of Enoch and 4th/5th Dimensional Awareness
The "64 KEYS of ENOCH" and "I CHING" are presented as incorporating processes with LIGHT and GENETIC RNA-DNA SYSTEMS, leading to a world moving towards 4th and 5th DIMENSIONAL AWARENESS, where death may no longer be a mystery. The newsletter suggests that current religions will need to change unless they remain with the common man or those who rely solely on faith. Death is framed as science within an electromagnetic spectrum of consciousness and physics.
Spiritualism and Early Christianity
WAVELENGTHS are described as the spirit in motion, and spiritualism, including early Christianity, is mentioned as knowing this. Anyone studying the science of PARAPSYCHOLOGY is also included.
Proof of the Hereafter and Dimensional Knowledge
Dimensional knowledge is presented as a means to afford a way through scientific means, encompassing the physical, cosmic, etheric, and celestial light wave planes of consciousness and vibration. It is stated that dimensional experience is already known, with space influencing humanity even through religious leaders dealing with fallen angels of darkness. The text claims that Earth's systems have been denied true energies, mathematics, and energy fractal systems due to space influences or the denial of free energy by vested interests.
Space Wars and Mars
Two Psalms in Corinthians are cited, stating that wars will be fought in space and that there is wickedness in high places, suggesting manipulation from hierarchal authority or outer space groups like 'fallen angels'. The statement "OUTER SPACE ALREADY HAS BY-PASSED US AGES AGO...... CYDONIA, MARS PROVES THIS!" is made.
Future Understanding and Materialism
The newsletter suggests that unless humanity was present before such times as Lemuria and Atlantis, it is proceeding through an enormous amount of material and physic-spiritual-biblical revelation. This is seen as reaching a precipice of understanding, not returning to the past but continuing into the future, ready to upset the apple cart of 3D materialism and other belief systems.
Male-Female Tetrahedral System and Chakras
The male-female tetrahedral system is located within an inverted triangular system, surrounding the normal seven key chakra system, which are spiritual centers within physiology, also known as the life-producing chakra system or the endocrine system (pineal, pituitary, thymus, thyroid, etc.). These are meditation centers.
Physiological Changes and Energy Fields
Energies utilized can result in physiological changes through figure 8 breathing, suggesting an exchange between M-FE triangular systems' energy fields. These fields influence chromosomes and the genetic tree system for detoxification, changing survival systems, aging, and developing light intensity for advanced consciousness within the chakra sense track, aura, the self, and the superconscious higher mind.
Cited Works and Research
The issue concludes with a list of recommended readings and research, including "MARTIAN HORIZONS" by Hoagland, "INNER GRID SYSTEMS" by Bruce Cathy, "SOURCE OF MEASURES" by Ralston Skinner, "PYRAMIDOLOGY" by Adam Rutherford, "THE SECRETS OF THE GREAT PYRAMID", "MYSTERIES OF THE MEXICAN PYRAMIDS" by P. Tomkins, "PSYCHOMATHEMATICS" by Conners, "THE KEYS OF ENOCH" by Hiertak, "VIEW OVER ATLANTIS" by John Michel, and "PYRAMID ENERGY-THE PHILOSOPHY OF MAN" by Mary and Dean Hardy.
Recurring Themes and Editorial Stance
The recurring themes in this newsletter are pyramidology, the potential connection between Earth and Mars, the exploration of consciousness and spiritual evolution through 'light', the interpretation of ancient texts (like the Pistis Sophia and Enoch), and the possibility of extraterrestrial influence and advanced civilizations. The editorial stance appears to be one of promoting a paradigm shift away from traditional materialism and religious dogma towards a more integrated understanding of science, spirituality, and cosmic consciousness, often drawing on esoteric and New Age concepts.
This issue of UFO International, identified as Volume 4, Issue 31, published in 1985, focuses on UFO sightings and crop circle phenomena, primarily in Canada. The content includes personal accounts and observations of unexplained events.
Key Articles and Accounts
1967 UFO Sighting in New Brunswick
The issue details an event from April 1967 in New Brunswick, Canada, where the narrator and her sister observed UFO lights. While driving at approximately 11:30 PM, they entered a small town and saw flashing lights behind a row of buildings, which they initially likened to searchlights used in country fairs. As they drove out of town, the lights followed them for a short period. The object was described as having a row of fluorescent yellow-orange lights and made no sound, nor did it interfere with their car. The narrator's sons were asleep in the car during this experience.
1985 Encounter and Crop Circle Discovery
Another account describes an experience from April 1985. The narrator woke up in bed to find a small craft beside her. She felt confused and believed she was too large for the ship. She later recalls seeing "plant-like eyes" and a mouth, and remembers being shown a map by beings who claimed to be from a small planet. This encounter is linked to a separate event where the narrator and her friend Gem were driving and saw lights. They ended up near a bridge with a broken beam, and subsequently discovered a crop circle.
Crop Circle Observations
The crop circle, described as oval-shaped, exhibited several unusual characteristics. The grass within the ring grew better, appearing stimulated, while the grass outside the ring was shorter. The grass was swirled in a counter-clockwise direction. Additionally, there were three areas with oval imprints in the ground just outside the circle. The grass in these areas was a dark color, as if burnt or dehydrated, with new growth emerging. The text also mentions "pod marks where it touched down" and a depression where one could "put feet in."
Additional Accounts and Reflections
Another account from October 1985 describes the narrator and her friend Gem leaving their house to watch home. They saw lights and ended up on a bridge with a broken beam. The village was described as a small "Lunane village." The narrator mentions that a tape was made two years after they broke up, and that she and her friend drank a lot. She also reflects on the possibility of being abducted and the difficulty of convincing others.
An article about the group was mentioned as appearing in the Nova Scotia paper. A lady from Nova Scotia contacted the narrator to share a strange experience from her childhood, which she remembered vividly. This information was put down on paper and mailed to the narrator.
Recurring Themes and Editorial Stance

Recurring Themes and Editorial Stance
The recurring theme throughout this issue is the public fascination with and reporting of UFO sightings. The editorial stance appears to be one of reporting on these events and the public's engagement with them, while also presenting skeptical viewpoints and potential scientific explanations. The inclusion of books on crop circles, parapsychology, and extraterrestrial encounters suggests an interest in phenomena that lie outside conventional scientific understanding, catering to an audience interested in the unexplained and the paranormal. The magazine provides a platform for eyewitness accounts and encourages comparison of notes, indicating a belief in the significance of these reported experiences, even if definitive proof is lacking.
This issue of UFO Aktuellt (Sweden), Volume 3, Number 3, dated November 1992, focuses heavily on the mysterious Crystal Skull, exploring its alleged origins, powers, and the controversies surrounding it. The magazine also includes reports of UFO sightings in Sweden and a brief mention of ancient Egyptian encounters with extraterrestrials.
The Crystal Skull: A Multifaceted Enigma
The central theme of the issue is the Crystal Skull, with multiple articles dedicated to its history and purported abilities. The main article, "The Case of the "Crystal Skull: A god of the Mayas - or a skeleton in the closet?" by Kaspars Dzeguze, details the discovery of the skull by Anna Mitchell-Hedges on January 1, 1924, in Lubaantun, British Honduras. She describes it as a divine artifact of the Mayans, possessing powers of healing and the ability to influence thoughts and predict future events, such as the deaths of President John Kennedy and Lord Louis Mountbatten. Mitchell-Hedges, who was adopted by her father, Frederick Mitchell-Hedges, an archeologist and explorer, recounts how the skull was found and its significance to the Mayan people.
Skepticism surrounds the skull's origins and age. While Mayan legend suggests it is 3,600 years old and was crafted over 150 years by five generations of high priests, scientists and archeologists have been unable to verify its age. Frank Dorland, a biocrystallographer who studied the skull for six years, confirmed it was made from a single piece of rock crystal without modern tools, but could not date it. Robert Sonin, from the New York University Institute of Fine Arts Conservation Centre, dismisses it as a fraud, suggesting it might be a product of the 1880s Aztec revival vogue for skull artifacts. Don Potter, an investigator of the unexplained, speculates it could be a relic from the lost civilization of Atlantis.
The issue highlights psychometric readings performed on the skull by members of the Waterloo-Wellington Society for Psychical Research. These readings suggested the skull was used in healing ceremonies and that crude surgical instruments and figurines were found nearby. Anna Mitchell-Hedges confirmed the discovery of pottery and beads related to these findings. The skull's detachable jaw, containing 32 teeth, is noted as a remarkable feature. It is one of four known crystal skulls, but the only one life-size; the others are in private collections in Italy, the Paris Louvre, and the British Museum.
Anna Mitchell-Hedges, now 73, is adamant about not parting with the skull, despite attempts by the governments of Britain and Belize to acquire it. She claims her father was given the skull as a parting gift by the Mayans. She also recounts an incident where the skull's power allegedly caused the death of a man who had defrauded people through fundraising for the skull.
Psychic Investigations and Predictions
British psychic Simon Alexander agreed to give the skull a 'free reading.' He pronounced it genuine but predicted that Anna Mitchell-Hedges would not have it much longer. Alexander described images he received, which were interpreted by Mitchell-Hedges and her companion-secretary, Cynthia Cowles. These visions included scenes of the skull being carved with a sand and herb poultice, and the discovery of the skull by Anna. Alexander's readings, though impressive, could not pinpoint the skull's age beyond 180-200 years, a detail he later admitted he withheld from the group.
Hermina van Herpt, who purchased her home from Mitchell-Hedges, raises questions about the fate of the crystal skull and money donated for a foundation to keep it in Canada. Van Herpt states that despite years of donations collected at lectures and from sales of pictures and videotapes, no foundation was ever established, and the skull was moved to the United States. She believes the skull should be publicly displayed rather than used as a "money-making object."
Other Worlds: UFOs and Ancient Aliens
The issue also features a section titled "OTHER WORLDS," which includes a report on the 6,233rd anniversary of mankind's first meeting with an extraterrestrial. According to New York historian Frederick Meeske, ancient Egyptians recorded an alien named Atum landing near a pyramid on July 19, 4241 B.C. This ET reportedly taught Earthlings an environmentally conscious religion called Ma-at. The Egyptians are said to have hidden Atum's spacecraft, and both the ET and the craft eventually vanished from historical records.
Additionally, the magazine includes several reports of UFO sightings from Sweden, dated between May and September 1992:
- May 18, 1992: A couple near Tullerasen, Jamtland, Sweden, observed a bright blue/white light, described as a 10-15 meter long object with 8-10 apertures, hovering at tree-top height before disappearing suddenly. It was seen with a blue haze and remained stationary for 10-15 seconds.
- July 17, 1992: Torgny Berntsson and two colleagues near Hallasjómala, Emmaboda, Sweden, observed a yellow-orange light in a westerly direction.
- September 30, 1992: Carina Nilsson, near Flen, Sweden, observed two 'stars' moving in unusual patterns in the sky. They moved in formation, veered, circled, and then returned to their original direction before disappearing.
Another report details an observation of a star-like light that moved in a manner inconsistent with conventional aircraft, disappearing before the night sky clouded over. The observer contacted police and media outlets but received no definitive explanation.
Recurring Themes and Editorial Stance
The recurring themes in this issue are the enduring mystery and controversy surrounding the Crystal Skull, the exploration of paranormal phenomena through psychometry and clairvoyance, and the reporting of unexplained aerial phenomena (UFOs). The magazine appears to present a balanced view, including both believers and skeptics, and highlights personal accounts and investigations. The editorial stance seems to be one of open inquiry into unexplained mysteries, encouraging readers to consider various perspectives on phenomena that defy conventional scientific explanation. The inclusion of UFO reports from Sweden and the ancient Egyptian alien encounter suggests a broad interest in extraterrestrial and anomalous events.
This document contains scanned pages from what appears to be a publication focused on UFO and paranormal phenomena, likely a magazine or newsletter. The primary content consists of handwritten reports of UFO sightings and investigations, along with a list of books for sale from 'Excalibur Books' and several comic strips related to UFOs and aliens.
UFO Sightings and Investigations
The core of the document details two specific UFO incidents reported in Norway in 1992, documented by an investigator named Stig Aggestad.
Arendal Sighting (January 21, 1992)
On January 21, 1992, at 21:30 in Arendal, Norway, an object described as similar to a water tower with a mast was observed. It travelled towards Hissy and was sighted for approximately 10 minutes. The object reportedly moved backwards, forwards, and sideways. The observer stated they had never seen anything like it before. A representative from 'Nope's' (likely a UFO organization) also agreed that it was unlikely to be a known object.
Hamar Sighting (March 9, 1992)
On March 9, 1992, around 22:00 in Hamar, Norway, two women experienced an unusual and frightening observation. While walking home, they heard a noise described as being between a train and a car ticking over, so deep and vibrating that it was not only heard but felt. Suddenly, they saw a brilliant white light, and the contours of an object became visible. The light was so intense that it blinded them and made their eyes smart, yet they could not help looking at the 'strange thing' hovering about 2-3 metres above the ground, approximately 10-15 metres in front of them on the road.
The object was described as angular at the bottom with a dome, made of transparent material (glass or similar). Three lights were visible on the outside of each point. The tone of the light then changed, and just like someone turning a switch, the object became clear. The women then clearly saw two persons inside the object, moving jerkily. The women felt compelled to look despite being terrified and with a feeling of stark distaste. The person on the right had a steering wheel-like instrument. The women noted that the light shone on the person's hair, which was long and light-coloured. One of the women commented that it could be the light that shone and not the actual colour of the hair. The person had large dark eyes. The object disappeared quite suddenly, and the witnesses could not describe whether it moved on or not.
Later that evening, at the home of one of the women, more noise was heard outside the bedroom window. The noise increased, and the women thought the object would drive through the window, so they crouched down. They described it as right over the roof and the women described it as an 'earthquake through the body.' This experience was worse than their experience on the road.
A week after the incident, one of the women had a sight disorder. Both experienced deafness and nose-bleeds. A month later, they felt completely drained of energy. The women's descriptions agreed with each other, except that one of them could not describe some details relating to the persons inside the object, only seeing arms moving and outlines. She also mentioned it was more like a round object with an angular bottom, as the other woman described.
One of the women is interested in regression and hypnosis, as she feels more happened than they can remember.
